A Morales Minute

The kids have been enjoying their time at home with some fun new toys after Christmas.  We had quite the laser tag war.  Lindsey loves to blare The Greatest Showman soundtrack and sing her little heart out. It's a fun one to do that to!

We went to Jaime's grandparents vow renewal. So cute to watch them. This minster who performed the ceremony however didn't really know the Morales's so when he was talking in english Jaime's grandpa didn't understand most of it. He only speaks Spanish now. They just revert back to their native language as they get older and more forgetful I think.  While we were there saw and visited with an old high school friend. Veronica Morales. Her dad and Jaime's dad are cousins. Veronica's daughters saw Lindsey and thought she was so beautiful with her blonde hair and blue eyes that they asked their mom to come with them to meet her. Veronica knowing who I was had to problem coming up and introducing her family to us. The girls all hit it off well and had a good time getting to know each other. It'll make these extended family get togethers a little more fun for my girls knowing they will have a friend to go see. 

Olivia is such a good student. She has received two soar awards this year. Teachers choose who they will go to based on how students are doing. Great job Olivia!

Tyler could hardly wait to turn 8. The next best thing after being baptized was knowing he'd get to be in Cub Scouts.  His first Pack Meeting he was awarded his Bobcat. He pinned the Mother's Pin on me.  We painted on each others faces the colors that represented different things of scoutings.  It's cub scout war paint I think.  After awards was game time. Carrying a cup of popcorn across the room on your foot isn't as easy as you'd thing.  It was a fun and exciting first Pack Meeting for Tyler. He loves the time with boys and being given awards is something this boy lives for.
