Happy Easter!

Image
Tyler seemed to be sleeping through all of this. Poor kid! He did get to enjoy hunting for eggs. We went to a couple different egg hunts, kids got lots of toys and goodies, had fun seeing family. We do have some pics of the egg hunt but of course I forgot the camera so they are on Jaime's phone. We do have these pictures to remind us of the fun weekend we had. Hope you had a great Easter as well. I'm grateful for our Savior and the blessing we have of being together forever.

The Tour

Ok, here are some pics of our new home.  We love it and the kids love it so much which makes it even better. Downstairs bedroom/den  which obviously needs a lot of work. But it looks tons better. It used to be full of boxes and things that I hadn't decided where to put yet. Now it's a room that can be walked in to. Great Room View of Great Room from entrance from hall to garage   Downstairs Bathroom Downstairs/ Main Bathroom Great Room and kitchen Kitchen...I love it! The other day the kids and I made cookies and when it was cleanup time, I could fit the entire cookie sheet into my giant sink to wash it. Just one of the many perks I love about my kitchen. Dining Room...laugh all you want. I know my furniture looks dwarfed by the size of the room. Some day in the future we will get a larger table and a real buffet instead of my small console table.  For now, it's a room to put the furniture in. Girls' Room...we will eventually split them up and give them th

Room to run now!

Well sort of. We now have all our curbing done, rock in, and now sod laid.   The kids loved to watch the forklift bring the sod to the back yard. This is how it looked right after it was done. That was three weeks ago and it is now pretty and green.  Since Friday was Earth Day I decided that it would be a good reason to buy a tree for our yard, also since we don't have anything planted yet I figured this would be a good way to get started. The boys and I went and found a nice flowering tree for our back yard. We will slowly get more things planted but it was actually fun to pick out our first tree.

Good days...

We all have our good days, not so good, and better days. Getting to know people in our new ward has been kind of hard since most all are new, being a newly formed ward and all, and I felt like I'd meet someone, have a good conversation then the next time I saw them I didn't remember their name. Well, today was a good day at church. I met my visiting teaching companion and she seems awesome. I'm grateful for the inspired sister who paired us together. Then I stepped out of my comfort zone and sat by someone in relief society and introduced myself. Little did I know that she had just received her visiting teaching route and I am on her list. I don't think I could ask for a better visiting teacher. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable. We had dinner with three other couples in our ward a couple weeks ago to better get to know others in the ward. Its made it easier to know someone i see at church and be able to visit. Our records were read into the ward today and I r
