It's here!!

I have never ordered a dining table. The tables we've had have been given to us and the one in our kitchen was a craigslist purchase. I have looked for years for table and chairs that I wanted in my dining room. I wanted a sturdy and durable table, something that looked nice but not too formal. I never liked the sets completely that I'd look at. One evening Jaime and I were on a date and decided to go to Walker's furniture just to browse around. I found a style of table I liked. It was solid wood, stored additional leaves inside and was a casual but not "chippy" style. (I liked the look of rustic planked tables I'd see but I didn't want the grooves in between the planks to catch food or dust and make cleaning not so easy. Yes I know this to be a fact. My friend had a table like that and was grateful to finally get rid of it.) I liked this table at Walker's but not the oak color. Luckily for me it's a special order Indiana Amish made line and they

Olivia is Double Digits!!

We celebrated Olivia's 10th birthday with my family on Valentine's day. Our monthly Sunday dinner's with my family. It just worked out to celebrate her birthday then since everyone was coming.  Christy offered to make Olivia's birthday cake and Olivia could help. She loves baking and learning how to do things in the kitchen...fun stuff. She's not a fan of doing dishes. ;) The cake looked pretty awesome! Emily Daw and her mom took Olivia out to dinner for her birthday one evening and they gave her this emoji pillow. She things these pillows are so fun.  We celebrated her birthday on her birthday, February 21st with Jaime's family.  Bel and Chris gave her lots of fun nail art stuff.  Grandma and Grandpa Morales got her a new Calico Critter townhouse. I adore these little critters. She was pretty surprised to open up a new American Girl doll, Grace. I was surprised too. (Not on this day but a few weeks

Mission STEM Possible

Aidan had my phone one evening before we headed out to the school for Mission STEM Possible. He asked if he could take a picture of me. Oh alright, I guess. I was going to delete it like I generally do but he asked me not to. So...now to head to the school! The boys are talking to a guy from the bomb squad. He's explaining and showing them how the robots works and how they use it to diffuse bombs. (Yes Aidan and Tyler are in their pjs. It was pajama day at their school today.) Listening to their hearts. The nurses thought it was cute that the boys asked to hear each others hearts. She then asked me if the boys were twins. I could see how someone would think that a twin would be that interested in their other half.  Building with shapes. He had to find the right shapes to make them fit together like in the picture books. Some were easy and others took a little more thought.  This laser maze was pretty cool. I've actually looked

February Days

Another day at chemo. I have loved being able to spend more time with Bel. The circumstance is definitely sad but I'm grateful for the relationship we have and can enjoy being together and talking about all that's going on.  Tyler watched the recording of the Super Bowl on his own. I was amazed that actually sat there and watched it! Oh, and if he needs to pause it to do something or rewind because he missed something he can do that too. Hahaha The kids all had good results at the dentist! I take all four of them and myself for appointments on the same day. Yeah it would seem like it's a long day but I'd rather get it all done in one day than multiple days of going to the dentist. And they get us all though pretty quickly with three different hygienists on three of us at the same time.  Valentine's goodies from school. Lindsey and Jaime went to skate night for their school. I didn't want to worry about the boys falling du

Sunday

Image
You know how you have one of those Sunday's where... Kids help each other out... And after church the kids keep the Sabbath by enacting a scripture story? Yeah it's a day I need to document!! Acting out the story of when Nephi broke his bow was actually pretty funny. Their costumes were very creative.  Check out Lehi!! They were so cute.

Lindsey's Acceptance Letter

Lindsey has some pretty fun teachers at school. One teacher made this fun acceptance letter to Hogwarts (from Harry Potter). It looked so official. It even came with the supply list. Pretty creative if you ask me.
