Fun with Friends

Image
Olivia has been getting together with friends so frequently lately. They organize their outings so it makes things easier for me! She checks with me to see what's on the calendar and if I can take her. She's been rollerskating, the trampoline park and the latest was ice skating. I'm grateful for friends I'm grateful Olivia is making the most of her last year in middle school.

Great Wolf Lodge

Marcus has been wanting to get all of the family together a Great Wolf Lodge. It took a while but we finally were able to get a weekend put together for us all to make it. It was such a quick trip. We drove up Saturday Morning and spent the day at the water park.  Me, Lindsey, Bel, Olivia  The kids went down and down again on the slides.  They got some fun in with Grandpa even. :D There's not really a pool to swim in. The wave pool was a bit of a disappointment. The one at Boulder Beach in Silverwood is a lot more fun. So we weren't in the wave pool long but just went on the slides. I enjoyed getting the time with the kids to go on slides with them. After water fun was done we got dinner at Burgerville for Olivia's birthday and then the kids played games around the resort. Aidan LOVED the Magic Quest scavenger hunt type game. They got their own magic wand to go through the quest. All the kids enjoyed it but it's all Aidan could talk

My Dear Olivia

Happy 14th Birthday Olivia!! This girl is seriously hilarious! She makes me laugh all the time. She's developed a sense of style and she always looks so cool. She has some great friends at school who showered her with love and gifts all day long. She truly felt special, and I'm glad she did. She deserves it.  She'd been wanting some Birkenstocks for a while now. You can see how excited she was to get them.

A Few Changes

We had snow on the fourth! It made us think back to last year when we had weeks of snow and canceled school during snowpocalypse where snow didn't melt until almost mid March! But this snow didn't last longer than the day.  For Young Women New Beginning's this year was different. Since the church has done away with Personal Progress and started the new Children and Youth Program the girls' New Beginnings theme was graduation. They presented the girls who finished their personal progress with their medallions presented to them.  We're excited to see how this new program goes. Way to go girls on such a great accomplishment and her's to a new year and new program!  So....I got something new! I still can't believe I have this beautiful piano! Jaime and I have looked at getting a new piano for well over a year. Considered buying new. We were fortunate enough to find this one for sale in Spokane for a great price and it's well taken

Disney Here I Come!

Brian invited me to come, expenses paid, to Disneyland with his family. How could I say no?! Jaime was great to make sure everything would be fine at home so that I could go. And THIS, people, is why I don't work outside the home. hahaha Gotta find some perks right? ;) So on Tuesday, January 28th I took a flight all by myself to Las Vegas to surprise Brian and Summer's kids. They had no idea I was coming. It was so cute to see them and get their sweet hugs when they saw me. The surprise got even bigger when that night Brian and Summer told the kids that we were getting in the car at that moment to drive part way to DISNEYLAND! So my day was mostly traveling from Pasco to Seattle, Seattle to Vegas, then driving another 3 hours or so to a hotel.  Wednesday morning we got up early to head to the parks. It was such a fun trip! Disneyland IS such a happy place to be.  I had so much fun going on the rides with the kids. They had to take turns going on rides with
