Oh Sweet Goodness

So we all know the best part of Lucky Charms is the marshmallows. Olivia even takes a few out of her bowl before the milk is poured so she can eat some of the mallows all by themselves. Tyler only eats the mallows. No one is a huge fan of what my kids call "the brown stuff" in the Lucky Charms cereal. Well, I have found a cure for that...well sort of. I happened to find on clearance at Walmart... tah-daahhh! Yes they taste just like the sweet little charms in Lucky Charms.  I'll admit, I snag little handfuls and drop them in my mouth. I can enjoy the marshmallows without "the brown stuff." So sweet isn't it:) P.S. I got some in peppermint too. They are both good in one of my favorite beverages-Hot cocoa!

The first turns 8!

Lindsey's birthday fell on a Sunday this year. March 18th. So she decided she wanted a Mother/Daughter day out on St. Patrick's day. On Saturday I took both Olivia and Lindsey out for their birthdays. We went shopping to Lindsey's favorite stores, Justice and Barnes and Noble. Then a few others in the mall like Old Navy and Journey's to pick out a few things. Lindsey picked Famous Dave's for Lunch. This girl loves her meat. :) I was shocked when Liv decided to try a rib.  She liked it if it didn't have too much sauce on it. After lunch Olivia wanted to go to Target. The girls picked Gak out for a fun activity/toy. They've really enjoyed it. I thought I was going to regret buying something that could potentially be messy  and stain but they are so good at always putting it away out of the boys reach when they're done. :) On Sunday Lindsey had a meeting after church to meet her new Activity Day leader. Lindsey will have so much fun and get to know s

Trains, trains, and trains!

Having boys in our home definitely has brought in a different type of toy...trains. Aidan started liking trains last year. He got his first wooden train set last year for Christmas and loved it. Then the boys started getting Thomas the train sets for birthdays and Christmas and JUST BECAUSE!:) Aidan is so good at playing with the trains and keeping the tracks together. He does get frustrated when Tyler is playing and to get from one place to the other he crawls on the track making it come apart. Tyler on the other hand, not only loves trains, but plays with them EVERY DAY. I'm not exaggerating.  After every meal, after he's been washed up, he goes up to his room and pulls out the train sets. Not only does he really enjoy playing with trains, he can play with them all by himself. He plays better by himself than any of my other kids.  Here's the great part. Of all the trains we have Tyler knows all their names. I love to hear how he pronounces them. When he plays he make

The last time my Aunt visited she brought the girls a few tutus and ballet skirts and accessories for my girls. They're adorable. The girls decided one afternoon to have a tea party and wear their tutus. They're some of my favorite tutus I've seen! One evening Lindsey started a "sumo/pillow" fight with the boys. They get the biggest kick out of it. Even Tyler can put up a good fight! Dr. Seus' birthday was definitely a must for the schools to celebrate. :) Lindsey received another award from school. The award of "Fairness" way to go go Lindsey! We've had some very cold windy days so I let the boys play in the garage. Keeps them entertained for quite some time. Tyler loves wearing his fireman hat. While the kids haven't been able to play outside they've been good at being creative inside. YEAH Sunshine! It only lasts for about a day before we have high winds, clouds, and rain. We get out when we can before the sun is go
