Terriffic Twos

Have you seen the episode of Modern Family where Phil gets the iPad for his birthday? Well, on the iPad there's an app with a birthday cake and candles you can actually blow out. We have it on our iPad so when Aidan woke up, the girls and I walked into his room singing Happy Birthday with this picture of a cake and flickering candles. Aidan was "blowing" out the candles all day. I'd say he was practicing for the "real deal." See this, sheer excitement on this boy's face. He feels so special.  BLOW! YUMMO! Tools, every guy has to have tools! He's a guy now that he's two right? Aahhh, the PLANE! He loves this Furreal bear and how it makes sounds and moves. He likes to hug and carry it around. He even got an electric drill and already knows how to use it. Happy Birthday Aidan! He's no longer a baby.  Definitely a toddler. He totally enjoyed his birthday. He was so excited about his cake with the airplane on it

Tying to keep up with kids

She's in first grade now. She's definitely taller and more independent and really, A LOT of help at home. I miss her help. She's already noticed that there's more work and less play in first grade. :) The other night I put Tyler in the jumperoo to keep in occupied while I got stuff done. After a while I realized it was so quite. This is what I found... And this is how he woke up to hearing the camera. He's the only one of ours to ever fall asleep somewhere odd. You hear about kids falling asleep in high chairs or in their plate of food on the table, ours...nuh uh. This was a first for us. I thought it was adorable. I felt bad when he woke though.

The end of Summer

The Flavel House This is the same jail used in the movie Goonies. The girls enjoyed going to the "Goonies Museum." I always know when the end of Summer is coming to an end. We always take our annual trip to the Oregon Coast about then. We had a great time and enjoyed the nice weather. That isn't usually the norm when we are there.
