Time With Tyler

Image
My baseball stud. Tyler loves playing. I only wish I was better at helping him. He really does like to play and be active.  Today was picture day. I took his pictures instead of paying for the ones from the photographer. I think they turned out great!  The team. My friend Meggan Nelson has coached Tyler a few times over the years. It's fun knowing who the coach is and makes it a lot easier for me to get information. haha After baseball pictures I took Tyler to Jaime's school where they were having fun event for kids. "Dia del los Ninos" It was a very windy day but we enjoyed our afternoon together.  We had fun as I accompanied him to the different activities, booths and inflatable obstacle course, then we sat down for lunch together.  Tyler got to meet some of the local firemen and learn about the gear they wear.  He was really excited to meet the police officers and check out their stuff.  Tyler even got to see the inside of a police car! Doing simple things like thi

Avengers Opening Night!

Lindsey and Cami went and bought costumes to wear to the Avengers movie. Lindsey is Captain Marvel and Cami is Wasp.  We are big Marvel fans and like to catch the movies on opening night! This movie did not disappoint.  We went to watch the movie with Jeremy and Carina. Jeremy had to jump in and get a pic with the superhero girls. We all had a good time.  After the movie we grabbed dinner at Mod Pizza.  Nights like these are so fun. Good movie, good company, good food.

Happy Easter!

Image
We had a wonderful Easter program at church today. The primary sang "Gethsemane" and "Risen." Such beautiful songs and the kids sounded amazing. There were many watery eyes including my own. My boys were adorable as I watched them sing to me smiling as they saw me smile at them. The other musical numbers were excellent and made me grateful for the talents so many have as testimony of Christ's resurrection was shared through music.  Days like this, my heart is just so full. I'm so grateful for my Savior and the bands of death he broke and was resurrected that we will all be able to live again.

Sisters Make the Best Friends

Lindsey sent me this picture of her and Olivia. They're gone all day at CBC for a choir event for the middle and high school choirs. I'm so grateful that they're good friends.

Brian sent me this picture of their family at Carlsbad State Beach. I just love them so much. I'm so grateful for the relationship I have with Brian. I'm so grateful for technology that allows us to be able to keep in touch so easily!

Vegas Getaway

Image
Jaime and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas so Jaime could do some IT work at Brain's new dental practice. Obviously the big perk was seeing him and his family. Ezra was my little sidekick.  Saturday night was a great date night with Brian and Summer. They took us to dinner at Ohjah for Chinese. The live cooking demonstration was pretty funny and impressive. Jaime even caught a shrimp in his mouth! (No, he does not like sea food. haha) After dinner we went to watch Cirque du Soleil "Ka" at the MGM Grand. It was pretty impressive. Zither things a stage can do now to be a prop more than just a stage is amazing.  After the show we walked the strip.  We wanted to stop and see the dancing water show at the Bellagio. It's been a little over 15 years since we've last been here. Spending the evening out was fun.  We didn't get back to the house till about 11:30. We packed in a lot on this date. We really enjoyed time with Brian and Summer. We were able to grab some lun

Tillamook Cheese Factory and Family Time

Image
We went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The kids have been to it multiple times with their grandparents but it was a first for me.  It was interesting to learn about the cows and go through the interactive activities. We learned about different types of cows and even "feed" a calf.  It was cool to see how the cheese was made and then packaged. Seeing the giant blocks of cheese being cut, weighed, and packaged by all the machines is pretty amazing.  Oh and the cheese samples and ice cream were a highlight.  We did a little bit of shopping and saw this cute sign and thought it was the perfect spot to take a picture.  Grandma and her granddaughters Mom and Dad happened to be at the coast this same week with Grandpa, Uncle Dave and Aunt Chris, Uncle Tim and Aunt Mel.  We went to their rental house and then went for a nice walk on the beach. I love that Jaime and I are friends with my parents. We really enjoy our time together.  Yep, that's a happy girl right there.  Family p
