SILVERWOOD!!

Monday July 23, 2012 SILVERWOOD Everyone was excited to go to Silverwood. We got there at opening time. Aidan said the Hopper was his favorite ride.  I love Olivia and Aidan's happy faces here.  (They're in the first two seats on the left.) This is the Butterfly, a giant swing. The kids really liked it, other than the waiting for it to start as you see here. Lindsey and Tyler with Garfield. All aboard! Aidan giving the thumbs up for the train ride. Liv's ready! Tyler was so exhausted that he slept on the train.  The Marshal gave Tyler a badge sticker. Kid didn't notice it until long after the train ride. This is Aftershock. This 92-second roller coaster ride is INSANE! My Dad went on it and said I can't leave without going on it.  Wouldn't you know it, I had to wait in the longest line for it. No one else had to wait as long! Brian and Lori went on it twice in a row that's how short th

Family Reunion 2012

We were supposed to go to Crater Lake earlier in the week but with Jaime having to conduct interviews and a short time frame till our next vacation and just being tired of driving we ended up not going. So we didn't get to stop in and stay at my aunt's. Sorry Mel! But I think it was probably for the best since the boys got sick during the days we would have been gone. It's bad enough cleaning up after sick kids at home and it's worse at some one else's! So a few days after our "would have been Crater Lake trip," we had our family reunion last weekend July 21-23. Our family is getting bigger and we enjoy getting together to have our small reunions. (Does that make sense?) It was smaller than it should have been since my oldest sister and her family didn't make it and my baby brother. They were missed and they missed an awesome weekend! Saturday we hit the water! Even though it's cold it doesn't ever seem to phase little ones.

Friday July 13, 2012 Are you superstitious and worry bad things will happen on Friday the 13th? Well we decided to plan something very fun and exciting for our kids. We told them we were going somewhere as a surprise for them.  It was hard for them to take this drive and not know where we were going.  We put on the movie Day of the Diesels for them to watch. They enjoy watching Thomas the Train movies and this is a fairly new one they'd only seen once when we rented it months ago. We got to Snoqualmie Middle School and parked then got on to a school bus. Kids were a bit confused. Lindsey thought it was going to be a boring surprise. :) As the bus arrived to our distention 3 minutes later the kids saw THOMAS the TRAIN! Their expressions were great. They were so excited. On for the train ride. Tyler enjoyed the train and seeing the water when we got to Snoqualmie Falls. There were different trains to climb aboard and check out
