Happy Anniversary

Image
Jaime and I celebrated our 11th anniversary on Friday December 27, 2013.  Low key this year…after the Davenport Spa getaway last year! We went out for dinner at our fav Mexican restaurant, El Valle. It's where we had our wedding dinner with family and friends after our wedding, before the reception. It's so good! There's always a little booklet on the table with trivia about different things like city businesses, sports, holiday, and such stuff. We like to read the trivia questions to each other while we wait for our food. It's educational too! Jaime usually knows the majority if not all of the sports questions. We enjoy the one on one time. Jaime still treats me the way he did when we were dating and first married. He's so thoughtful and considerate of me. He always opens the car door for me. It was something I thought would fade over the years. 11 years and he still opens doors for me. I love you Jaime! I can't believe how lucky I am to be married to you.

Christmas Day 2013

Image
Christmas morning Olivia and Tyler woke up first at 7:30 and came to get Jaime and I. They woke Aidan up shortly and we left Lindsey to sleep till she woke on her own at about 8:15. She was doing better and slept through the rest of the night after she went back to sleep at 1:30. She needed to shower and I changed her bedding and cleaned the carpet. The girl makes NO effort whatsoever to make it in a bowl that's sitting RIGHT NEXT TO HER! Yes I'm a bit irritated by it. Tyler So excited to get more trains. Seriously his most favorite toys to play with. I like this sequence of him digging in his stocking, pulling out a candy, then his big smile after. Also I didn't get very good pics of him opening other gifts, the kid just doesn't hold still! Which is why I don't have many pics of gift opening for him. Some things he received were trains, RC car, trains, air hockey table, trains, Imaginext Switch n Go dino helicopter, Planes book with mini character planes

Christmas Eve 2013

We decided to make Christmas Eve a longer day for us this year. We used to go to Grandma Palacios house, then Grandma Morales house, then my parents house, then Jaime's parents house. It made for a very long evening. The last few years we have just gone to my parents and Jaime's. We decided to go to Grandma Morales Christmas Eve dinner hosted at Mimi's new hair salon. It was set up with chairs and tables all over. The family has grown so much there still wasn't sitting room for everyone. Grandpa Morales didn't come however, he's just getting too old and tired to go anywhere and doesn't do crowds. Jaime and his cousin took the time to go over to visit with him while I stayed with the others at the salon.  Bel, Marty, Jaime and Chris…we're waiting for dinner. And it was good! The traditional tamales, rice, and beans, and yummy sides and treats. Then we went to my parents where they had planned a nativity sing along. Lori helped the kids set

Some more this and that and another birthday!

Aunt Bel took all 4 kids to see the Disney movie Frozen on Saturday the 14th before Tyler's birthday celebration. (It was a busy, very fun day for the kids!) Sunday dress. Little holiday cuties.  Tyler's still riding his scooter around the house.  We had one day of snow. It was the last day of school. December 20th. It lasted just that day.  They had enough snow to play and not get too wet I guess. They enjoyed "skiing" down the snow covered slide.  I was able to finish the rest of my sewing projects this last week. I made a couple burlap and lace table runners for gifts. I love how they turned out.  Lindsey's primary teacher gave her and Olivia some gingerbread men to decorate.  We had another birthday celebration 5 days after Tyler's birthday. Jaime! It was a very small, low-key birthday. The kids were supposed to have stayed at Grandma Marcia's for the weekend and I had planned some things for Jaime and I but Ol

Tyler is 4!!

On Saturday December 14th my parents, grandparents, Lori, and Chantel came to celebrate  Tyler's 4th birthday with us.  There couldn't be a happier 4 year old! Tyler told Aidan he could help him open this present.  A scooter from Grandma and Grandpa Naylor! He hasn't wanted to take it outside yet because once it's out-it stays out! So he will just wait till it's warmer to ride it outside. My family coming on Saturday was three-fold. Tyler's birthday, our stake Nativities and Christmas program, and the Senske light show. We had dinner first, Tyler's celebration, and then we went to the church to walk around and see the nativities displayed and then to the program. Lindsey sang in the stake children's choir. It was like angels singing. I sang three numbers with the stake choir. I really enjoyed it. Our choir director is great and works us very hard. He picks difficult numbers for us to learn. It's really helped me since

This and That

There's been some baby action in the family.  This cutie. Ezra Naylor born November 21st. Tyler LOVES him. Tyler loves babies in general. Ezra came early and needed some extra prayers sent his way. We included him in many of our prayers and Tyler took it very serious to pray that Ezra would "grow good" and still says it in EVERY prayer he says and if someone else, like Aidan, doesn't say Ezra in their prayer Tyler is quick to point it out.  Then these TWO! Oh so cute! They arrived on December 13th. Madeline and Nathaniel Digges. So Tyler's prayers are getting a bit longer now. "Please bless Ezra, Maddy and Nate to grow good." Precious.  On Friday the 13th (hehe) I made a fort for Aidan, Tyler and Ren to play in. Then the girls got home from school and they jumped in on the play. It was big enough for all seven of them to play in. It's so cute to hear them play pretend. They couldn't believe that I pulled out Christmas lights t
