Time with Family

Image
Brian was here for the weekend to bring Maybrie to stay at Mom's for a week. I loved seeing Brian even if it was for a short time. We had a great dinner and visiting at LuLu's Friday night.  Sometimes a great weekend with family fills up so much. Holding tiny Merrill was fun as we all hung out and visited together after swimming at Mom's.

Grateful for the Father of my Kids

Jaime's Father's Day Breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, and fruit. The kids were cute to help.  Just want to say Happy Father's Day to the best of the best, the cream of the crop...Jaime's the one. (Our Liv is out of town with Aunt Bel but greatly missed.) Our kids get some of their best qualities from their day. His humor, smarts, tenderness, and good looks.  Soaking up some time as time with this girl is now feeling limited.  Look at that blue sky with fluffy white clouds and just beautiful greenery behind them! What a beautiful Father's Day it is.

Last Day of School

Image
First and last day of 6th grade! Tyler made it through his first year of middle school without a hitch. We were more than happy to see masks come off in the spring. Tyler has a confidence I admire. He's social, outgoing, and his comedic personality has really come out this year. He's still my lovable baby who always give a hug and tells me he loves me before he goes anywhere.  First and last day of seventh grade for Aidan. School comes pretty easy Aidan, however sometimes pushing that submit button takes more work than doing the actual assignment. 😑 Aidan has had quite the growth spurt this year and is now taller than me and his siblings. He really enjoyed D&D club. (Wish it was something I could understand better and get in to so that I could have someone to play with at home.) I'm so proud of him for trying track this year even though he really didn't want to. The best thing I heard from him was that he was going to do it again next year. He's grown in more

Covid Strikes

I came down with a mild cold the beginning of June. Just some congestion really. A slight sore throat one day. It eventually moved down into my voice and I sounded horrible but I felt fine. I didn't think anything of it. I've had worse colds before.  Then Jaime came down with it. But he had a fever, chills, headache. So, for work he was required to test before coming back to work. He tested positive. I was feeling fine but wondered if I'd test positive if I took a test. So I took one and it was positive, even though I felt fine. Jaime was out for about a week. Thank goodness protocols have changed and so Jaime was able to get back to work sooner and just in time for graduations. He just had to wear a mask for 5 days back at work.  I didn't test any of the kids but they probably had it. One Sunday Olivia woke with a mild fever but no other symptoms just felt yucky. Tyler had cold like symptoms but felt fine but I let him and Olivia stay home. A few days later Aidan was

The Path to Graduation

Image
After Graduation we went to our house for a luncheon for the family.  Then headed to Chiawana park for Morales family pictures. Before the photographer got there I snapped a few pictures of Lindsey in her cap and gown.  Such a beautiful grad. She went through many schools to get to this point.  Lindsey's path to graduation Kindergarten - 1st Grade 1st-4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade Jaime's name is still on the plaque at McClintock and will be until the building comes down.  7-8th Grade 9-12th Grade And now on to newer things in life.  Lindsey's Instagram story.

Graduation

The day has come! Lindsey's high school graduation...and Jaime's first facilitation of graduation as the high school principal.   They have their gowns in hand and are heading off to the stadium to get ready for graduation.  I love this picture that was taken of them while waiting for graduation to start.  All the graduates waiting in the parking lot at the top of the stadium just waiting for their cue to walk in with a huge crowd of family and friends there just for these awesome grads.  The superintendent took these pictures of Jaime as the grads were walking in.  He looks so official and good looking. I'm so proud of where he as made it in this school district. He really is one of their greatest assets.  Welcoming and beginning the ceremony.  Lindsey was a line leader so we were able to see her right away walking up the rows of chairs.  She could hear her name being called but couldn't quite see where we were sitting.  Now she does! She had quite the cheering squad t
