Happy Halloweeeeen! (2011)

Image
We seemed to celebrate this Halloween season a bit longer than we usually do. We made some fun Halloween treats Monday for FHE. The following day we delivered them to friends. It was good to drive around and chat and say hello to friends. Even Aidan was in on it.  He kept saying he was "a big helper." It's so cute to see how he's getting to where he always wants to help whatever I'm doing. Mini witches hats They were easy, fun, and cute! The girls' school didn't do individual class parties. Instead they had a whole school Halloween activity Friday night. Ariel, Repunzel, Batman Saturday was our ward Halloween party. They had games and prizes throughout different rooms in the church, chili cook-off, treats, pumpkin decorating, "Monster Mash" dancing, and even a "spook alley" in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. (Yeah I can see how that'd be a spooky theme. :) The kids had a great time. On Halloween the kids were ready to go tr

Moments like these...

We went to the Country Merchantile the other day just for fun. And it really was! The kids had a blast. They were all so happy, even Tyler who sat in the stroller the majority of the time. I loved seeing their excitement in everything. Tyler seemed to like the animals in the petting zoo but was also grossed out. He kept saying eeww! If you know Aidan you know he loves bunnies. He's majorly attached to his stuffed bunny that he "adopted" from Olivia since he saw it when he was a baby. Santa's reindeer?? Aidan loves airplanes and this was his favorite part. He and Olivia were so cute "flying" up there. Aidan flew on it twice. Each time he picked the white airplane. I don't know why but that's the one he liked best. The maze. The girls were so fast going through I couldn't capture them in photo. Olivia had just been there a few days earlier with her school class so it was cake for her to get though. Aidan was able to make it out all on his

Movin' on up

I've never had the best, newest cell phone. It always worked and did what I needed it to. I was fine with that. I'm not sure why but a few months back Jaime and I discussed getting me a new phone when my current cell phone contract was up so I could switch carriers. We said we'd wait until the new iphone came out. Soo, about a week ago Apple announced it's iphone 4S was going to be released October 14th. Jaime, the wonderful tech savy man he is, preordered one for me and it was delivered to my door on October 14th. Let me tell you, it's Ah-mah-zing! I can ask my phone a question and it'll answer. This new feature is called Siri. I asked it to find an italian restaurant and it talks to me and tells me it's located ones near and listed them by rating. How awesome is that! I can talk to it and tell it to schedule an appointment and it'll do it! If I schedule something else and it happens to be at the same time as another appointment it'll tell me so. It

Remember when...

...you were a kid and you loved being outside when Dad was mowing the lawn? I don't know why but when I was a kid I loved playing outside when my Dad was there working in the yard. I'd play and run around with my siblings. Looks like my kids feel the same I love that they can just run outside and play together and have a good time.

Husbands are Great

Jaime had wanted to surprise me with a getaway for my birthday this year. So sweet, right? Well it just happened to work out that our friend Jeremy asked Jaime if we would want to have a weekend getaway with Jeremy and Carina around the same time. Our husbands planned and made reservations for us to go to Triple Play in Coeur d'alene, ID. Jaime never told me where we were going until we were in the car on our way. I plan to go pro someday! I loved hanging out and visiting with Carina. (I miss you)   The guys rode the go karts multiple times. Look at them race around the track! Go Jaime go! (he did come in first on this race.) I enjoyed the go karts too but I need to grow a couple inches so that I don't get a cramp in my hamstring trying to press on the gas pedal so long. Then I'll be more competition. Grandma Morales and Aunt Bel stayed with our kids. It was so kind of them to do so. Olivia asked Jaime when we will be leaving again so they can have Grandma and Bel sta

Busy Month!

So September has been a very busy month. It's the time of year that summer ties up it's last warm days and canning season hits full force! This is how the kids celebrated the first day of Fall! It still felt like summer. The boys thought the box was great for them rather than toys. This is the closest way we get to feeling like we can fly as kids. Tyler has been playing so hard that nap time could never come soon enough. Olivia was more than happy to help me with the canning. I canned around 23 quarts of peaches 19 quarts and 33 pints of grean beans around 42 quarts of tomatoes and I still have a lot of tomatoes growing! and I just did two batches of Harvest Soup today. Ready to have lots of soup for the cold days coming! Aahh Moon Sand, definitely an outdoor activity. Lindsey made Mt. St. Helens before and after the eruption. Nothings more fun than being able to make a mess and it's ok, if you're a kid. :) In September we moved Aidan into a big boy
