San Juan Island

We took the ferry ride to San Jaun Island. We almost didn't make the ferry! I totally spaced grabbing our ferry tickets in our condo. We turned around and Jaime sped making great time getting to the ferry dock. The parking lot meter wouldn't take dad's credit card so we all just ran through the office and onto the ramp to get on the ferry. As we were going through the lady stopped us saying we needed masks. We hadn't needed them much so didn't think to grab them. Luckily the lady reached into her booth at got some for us and we ran up the ramp get on the ferry. The person putting the rope up said we were lucky, mom said no we were blessed. :) Friday Harbor So after the ferry ride we got to the island and went to get our rental cars. These cute little gutless Chevy Trackers. :D  Cruising the entire perimeter of the island with the top down was fun. Cattle Point Lighthouse This little light house wasn't really a light house. It was used to sent radio signals to bo

The Beach at Sunset

We went back to the water to watch the sun set. While we were there some ladies were having a blast blowing bubbles and using quite the bubble wand to make gigantic bubbles. It was so fun to watch and listen to these older ladies (probably in their 60s) laughing and having a great time celebrating one's birthday. They were so kind to give our kids bubbles and any other kids who came around to watch.  Olivia worked on her photographing skills. She's so fun to watch. She can get some really great shots. I think if she sticks to this hobby it'll be something she could really use in the future. She has a good eye for things.  So magical! Tyler and Lindsey loved the water. In the setting sunlight the pictures looked so cool. One with the water :)

We Made it to Canada!

The Canadian/US Boarder is still closed except to essential travel due to Covid. I read about this cool park called Peace Arch Park to go visit. It straddles the boarder and you don't need a passport to go. So the kids were really excited to "leave the country" and check out the park.  This is the Peace Arch. It stands on the boarder line of the countries. It was erected in remembrance of the friendliness between our countries.  It was sad to see the boarder gates literally closed because inside the peace arch it says this! Gates are closed due to war and unrest but due to a global pandemic. They closed boarders in hopes to limit the mass spread.  These flowers will grow and bloom to make a giant American flag. I wish I could see it in full.  The Canadian flag has grown in real well already.  Kissing across countries :) My parents. So grateful to have this time with them.  I liked the saying on the top. We're all connected by a Heavenly Mother.  I took a screen shot o

Birch Bay

We got to go on a trip with Mom and Dad. With their travel program through World Mark they have lots of places they can go visit. Dad rented two condos at Birch Bay and we headed up north at the right time. The temps in Pasco is triple digits all week! Highs up to 115-117! She tried so hard to get comfortable to sleep. :) Our first night there we headed to the beach to check out the sunset. This is Lindsey's happy place.  We liked walking out at low tide. There were a lot of crabs, sand dollars, shells, and small critters in the water.  Look how far from the shoreline we walked out! The girls! My Olivia Doll Spotted a few little crabs. We couldn't stay at a resort and not swim! This indoor/outdoor pool is pretty cool. The glass garage doors separate the space.  We stopped at the C Shop to get some yummy ice cream. The blackberry cheesecake ice cream was delicious!! Sharing is Caring. :P We got these cute macadamia nut caramel oyster shell candies. They were too cute!
