So Much to be Thankful For

Image
Lindsey made it home on the 21st for Thanksgiving! Love having her here. When she is, everything just seems right. How it should be.  Brian and his family flew in on the 22nd. Shortly after they got in we all got right to work in the kitchen. Prepping food for our Thanksgiving feast the next day. Brian whipped out the cutest pilgrim and Mayflower cherry pie.  Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad, Elizabeth's family, Lori's family, Brian's family, and our crew.  The little kid table. The youth table.  Adult table We had a great Thanksgiving. Everyone enjoyed the food, company, and games together. Mom wanted us all to stay the night so we could work in the kitchen together and stay later in the evening visiting. Lori was so kind to let Elizabeth and I leave our dogs in her backyard so that we didn't need to worry about finding a place to take them to. I really appreciated that. Tyler's Football Banquet

Image
Tyler has been part of football for many years. Started with just flag football through YMCA then touch football through CBYF and then into tackle through CBYF. This is the last year he can play tackle with CBYF. It only goes through 8th grade and then the program feeds into high school.  He's the cutest! His eyes always smile as big as his face. He literally lights up a room when he smiles.  I can't not say enough how much Tyler has grown physically, socially, and mentally through playing with this team. He's had the same head coach and a handful of the same players for the last 4 years.  Tonight was their last team dinner. They're a brotherhood that has helped Tyler grow more confident in himself. He's sad to have this end.  As much as I hated the lack of organization and communication from the coaches and crazy last minute schedule changes, I am grateful for this program because it has meant so much to Tyler. It's given him something to invest in and be proud

Ducked!

Olivia had stopped at Maverick gas station and when she'd come out someone had "ducked" the Jeep! It's the first one she's gotten. I think ducking cool Jeeps is such a cute tradition. Look how cute and happy she looks! I love this picture.

The Holidays Are Approaching

'Tis that time of year! I couldn't believe how warm it was so started putting the lights up before everyone got home from school but was grateful when the others showed up to help. Our friend drove by and stopped to take a picture of us up on the house top. Won't be long and Santa and his reindeer will be up here!
