Newest Niece!

Elizabeth was scheduled to have a cesarian to deliver her little baby girl on September 21st so we were surprised to get a text this morning from John with a photo of their little Jocelyn Ann. Elizabeth's water had broke so she went to the hospital to have her early. After all the kids were off to school I drove to Grandview to ride up to Yakima with Dad, Grandpa, and Lori.  Look at this little bundle!  We really had a good time all being together. We seem to quite often. :) Elizabeth was having a hard time not laughing when mom was struggling to take a selfie of all of us.  Elizabeth's stomach was so from the c-section so she tried not to laugh when we were all cracking jokes.  Grandpa was so sweet.  Congratulations Elizabeth and John. Just on Sunday I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting on how I know Heavenly Father loves us and I used Elizabeth's experience of adopting and finally getting pregnant when they had waited so long. I felt it

Parade of Homes

Image
The past couple years we've gone to Parade of Homes with Brandon and Sarah. We weren't too impressed with many of the homes this year but the little details are fun to see.  I could enjoy the yard this place has.  Gorgeous!! It's an outdoor/indoor eating area. It's not heated or AC so it probably won't be used that often in the winter though. Depends on how well the fire place and warm it up I guess.  I love this girl. Even though we aren't in the same ward anymore we enjoy getting together with them when we can. The only moved to the next neighborhood across from us so we sometimes just drop in on their house in the evenings to visit. When they do finally build their new house on the lot they have further out we will miss the last minute drop in visits.  I like that Jaime enjoys going to see these houses too. If we found the right size house with the things we want in it in the right location we'd move. But that's not coming alo

Aidan's 9th Birthday

Image
For Aidan's birthday on Sept 2 Bel and Chris took Aidan out to breakfast then to Build A Bear Workshop. It happened to be a deal of buy one Star Wars bear get another free!! Lucky kid picked out two bears. He loved the time alone he had with his aunt and uncle.  They're the kind of aunt and uncle I'll never be. hahaha Kids played legos together all day to celebrate Aidan's birthday.  On Sunday the 3rd, his birthday we had Grandma and Grandpa Morales and Marcus and Aide over for dinner and cake.  Simple and his favorite. Chocolate and M&Ms.  Legos! Legos! That's all he wanted so that's all he got. hahaha After dinner we had cake! He spent the evening building his lego sets.  We celebrated his birthday with my parents on the 4th. Rather than postponing his birthday celebration it was just easier to do it separate days that worked for others. So he got to spend 3 days of birthday fun with relatives. I
