A Morales Minute

The time is finally here! We're taking a trip to Cancun with friends to celebrate my 40th birthday.  I went to get a pedicure with Meredith and Amy today so that we have pretty nails while on the beach. We leave in 3 days and we're so excited!  

Aidan didn't get to have his "big" friend party when he turned 12 because of the covid pandemic so he gets to celebrate it turning 13. We do a bigger party for 8, 12, and 16.  Aidan had friends over for dessert And then we took them to an escape room. They were in two groups and both groups were able to save planet earth from an asteroid while they were in a space station. They had a lot of fun.   

Tyler has been waiting for so long to play football.  He never complains about practices and was so ready for his game.  Tyler has never played tackle football so this is all new to him. He played a little timid his game. He's not ready to really hit and block with intensity yet. Hopefully he will get there.  We're hoping it's a good season!  

Dad took us out to dinner. Korean BBQ. Adulting is fun. :) It was so good of Lindsey and Olivia to stay back and hang out with their cousins. Dad and Brian ordered dinner from Panda Express for the kids.  After dinner we did a bit of shopping then went to Yonutz! for dessert to try the smash donut. Fresh donuts with ice cream inside pressed in a panini press and then toppings. We shared the s'mores and cookie dough flavors, I prefer the s'mores.  The mini donuts look fun but I've really got my eye on trying the Samoa one.  We got back to the house and enjoyed an evening swim. Trying to soak up every last bit of weekend fun.   

We went to the Hunger Games exhibition. It was really cool.  Maybrie, Olivia, and Lindsey - white roses - president Snow's favorite.  We died laughing seeing Bernie Sanders in his mittens on a picture from the Capitol. Waiting to enter! Lindsey in the president's chair. We all took a turn sitting in President Snow's chair.  So serious. Someone looks comfortable haha Summer looks ready to give commands. :) Enter the room of costumes It was fun to see Katniss's dresses. They're actually really pretty.  They had some fun interactive activities. I got to make my own propo about the rebellion with my picture in it. Looked pretty cool.  Waiting for our turn for the firing range! Ready to train. It was kind of like the training/practice center Katniss Everdeen got to shoot in before she went in to the Hunger Games.  We had a time limit for each stage to shoot as many things and specific dangers. Sunday was church day. Beautiful weather. A few pictures were snapped.  Henry and me.  Cousins! Olivia and Lindsey love these kids. They all look so cute together.  In the afternoon we went to the cemetery to visit Esther, Such a tender moment, They still have struggles and bouts of sadness. I thought I'd catch the moment Summer and Maybrie had together with Esther.  In the evening I went and sat outside under the pergola. Henry came to visit for a bit.  Then Olivia came out. It was warm but not hot since the sun had gone down so being outside was real pleasant.  It wasn't long till others came out, one by one, to visit. We had some good laughs. One of my favorite pastimes is literally just sitting and visiting with my family.
