Happy Retirement!

Image
Jaime's mom's last day of work was yesterday! We celebrated her retirement with a surprise dinner party.  We're so happy for Diana and hope she enjoys retirement!

Lovies from Ryan

My nephew Ryan is such a cutie. Lindsey got hime to give her Eskimo kisses.  Then Jaime got some lovin's from Ryan. :)

Silverwood!

Yesterday we took a day trip to Silverwood Boulder Beach! We had such a great time. I loved laughing and playing with my kids. They're old enough that I didn't worry a whole lot about them in the water. Those wave pools can be harsh (lack of time to breathe) but so fun. Everyone was all smiles. Tyler got me to go on the head first slide. And I loved it. The Riptide Racer was his favorite slide. He went down that slide so many times. I went down multiple times but Tyler went on the slides over and over until it was time to go.  We walked around the old town theme of Silverwood. Giant yard chess was fun. Tyler thought the train was awesome. We didn't have time to get a ride on it but it was fun to see.  Lindsey loved the old style movie theater showing The Three Stooges.  The summer is going too fast. Glad we squeezed in today's fun before Jaime has to go back to work.  We stopped at Trader Joe's market in Spokane on the way home. Our favorites; chocolates and dried/f

Family on the Lake

We spent the day at the river today.  We practically have the place to ourselves.  Jaime and I played games while watching the kids practice their karate and balancing on the paddle boards. ;)

YW High Adventure Trip

Image
Lindsey and Olivia went on their high adventure trip this week with girls from church. They had a blast! They went zip lining at Mica Moon Zip tours.  Lindsey, Gia, and Maddie headed up to the zip line. It looked like so much fun! After the zip line they headed up to Priest River in Idaho for some water fun and camping.  They had kayaks, water floats, and swimming. Lexi, Olivia, Naomi, Isabella Lindsey and Cambria have the right idea of relaxing on the floating island.  Daphne, Lindsey, Cambria, Calumet Silly girls having fun.  And that's exactly what this trip was supposed to be. The girls just needed some connecting. No schedules. The leaders loved it just as much I was told. It was all fun.  Cambria and Lindsey enjoying chili and ice cream? Maybe Lindsey had dessert first hahaha.

When the Girls are Away

Image
Lindsey and Olivia were gone for the weekend so Jaime and I took a morning date to play tennis. I like having a personal coach to help give me some tips. I have improved some but I'm not even good. :) And in the afternoon we took the boys to see the live action movie, The Lion King It was fun to take them to do something.  Tyler loves sharks. :)

Learning to Play

Image
7 Wonders is a game with lots of pieces and lots of instructions. Games like this Aidan finds intriguing. He really wanted to play so Jaime and I sat down to play with him. Jaime has played it before but even he needed a refresher on reading how to play.

Spokane Getaway

Jaime had a work conference and I was able to tag along. While worked I relaxed (say spa day!). We did lots of walking but my favorite was a nice walk through some gardens. Makes me wish I had a green thumb.  This place is so beautiful.  These arches are so fun.  I want a jade plant! This one is huge and so pretty.  It was nice to have take this beautiful walk with Jaime.  They've done a good job in this park. It would be a beautiful place for a picnic or photo shoot.
