Halloween

Image
Carving pumpkins.  Aidan made quite the scary face on his Jack-o-lantern. Lindsey had painted a pumpkin with Chiawana river hawk on it during a softball activity.  Did made pac man chasing dots to a ghost.  Olivia worked on a pumpkin looking like Venom from Spider Man but it took her a couple days to finally complete it so I never did get a picture of it. She did a good job though.  Halloween was on a Sunday this year. Saturday, right after softball state we darted home from Yakima so I could get the boys back home, changed into costumes and then we hurried over to the church so they could Trunk or treat. Jaime and the girls got dinner while I was gone with the boys.  So Sunday was a little more low key for a Halloween but I still made it fun.  We had chicken broccoli stuffed mummy, spidery apples, eyeballs, witches brew with monster eyes, and a grave ice cream cake.  Aidan and I were the only ones home Friday evening so he helped with the cake and eyeballs.    It was a kinda fun hang

Softball State!!

The softball girls had a great send off to state with a police escort, team dinner, hotel stay and readied themselves for the state playoffs.  Lindsey was able to pitch some.  Dad came to watch and support Lindsey and her team.  I love getting shots of her in motion. She looks so good.  They won both their games on the first day! And then won the championship game! Lindsey and the principal of Chiawana high school ;) Jaime.  Lindsey and Lily. WIAA 4A State Softball Champs! It was a close game and the girls stuck with it and pulled out the W. I'm so proud of them.  All the seniors and their trophy.  The originals since the slow pitch team started! What a finale. I'm so grateful Lindsey was able to experience this and have wonderful memories to associate with her Senior year.

Ryan

I went to visit Lori for a little bit today. She and her family just moved in to a new home. She's happy to have a larger yard that's fenced and a home with more storage space.  While here I enjoyed playing with Ryan. He's such a little rascal.  He didn't want me to take his picture so he'd look away and I'd snap a pic when he was carefully looking over to see if I still had my phone up.  They turned out to be pretty cute pictures. Lori told me that she's pregnant and expecting baby number three! She already has her hands full with Ryan and Madelynn so she's feeling a little overwhelmed. Parenting young kids is chaotic and rough but boy having littles is so fun as well.

Mini Gravel Pit

Last week Tyler and his team were so bummed that their win wasn't enough to get them to the playoffs. I an't even express how excited Tyler was Monday morning when I told him that the number 4 team was disqualified moving Tyler's team up to 4th. They now would be playing a playoff game on Saturday against their hometown rivals Chiawana.  Tyler and the rest of the bulldogs put in longer practices every day this last week. Today they played hard and played well. There were great passes, caches, hits, blocks, and tackles.  It was enough to pull out the W on this Jr. Gravel Pit game! (Chiawana High and Pasco High schools play each other every year at Edgar Brown Stadium and it's called the gravel pit.) The celebration was great but even greater was both teams, players and coaches, purple and blue, huddled together giving comments and uplifting words saying that even though they're on different teams our city of Pasco as a whole is bringing up some good players.

Softball Senior Night and Districts

Image
Today was Senior Night. All the seniors and their parents on the softball team were recognized. Pics of the season. We were introduced and then went Lindsey at home plate to exchange flowers.  Then the team gave the seniors a basket of gifts.  I love my #1 senior. She's loved this year. It's kind of hard knowing  her final season of softball is near it's end.  Tonights games were districts. They did a great job and won both! District champs! My cute pitcher.  The posters were made for each senior.  Life size posters! Congratulations on winning districts! They're off to state.

Homecoming 2021

Dallyn asked Lindsey to homecoming. Cute little way of asking. Relating it to the sport Lindsey is playing.  She is simply gorgeous.  My mom made this dress for me for my Fall Formal in 1997.  The dress fits her perfectly. Everyone loved it.  There is definitely a height difference but they are cute together.  Silliness  How can anyone resist that smile! Her eyes are simply gorgeous. She is such a gem.  Beautiful girls. Cassidee, Daphne, Lindsey, Jordyn After pics these girls and their dates went to the dance site for dinner and dessert before dancing. School still isn't having dances so teenagers have been putting on their own dances. This one is out further north of town in a large barn that someone owns. Everyone going can pay for dinner and the dance or just dessert and the dance. I'm so grateful for the families who put it on. I know a lot of mom's put in a lot of work to make it happen.  I love large groups and seeing friends getting together for pics.  This was the
