Time with Cousins

Image
While Brian is driving across the country Summer and the kids are staying at Jessica's next door. They would have stayed at out house but with us being gone for wedding stuff they didn't stay here. But being next door is almost as good! The kids were happy to be able to spend Memorial day playing together. No school! It was a good way to bookend the wedding weekend. We had Sunday to relax and then Monday to not have an agenda but to just have fun.  I spent a couple hours visiting with them today before they headed to Grandview where they would meet up with Brian. These little boys, Ezra and Henry are too adorable. It'll be nice being able to see them more than once every couple of years.

Marcus and Aide's Wedding

Image
Tyler was so excited and nervous to be the ring bearer. He asked, "What if I mess up?" He wanted to do it just right.  Jaime was so good to help take care of Marcus and make sure he had everything he needed. I'm glad I got this picture of Jaime adjusting Marcus' tie and Tyler watching. Brotherly love right there.  The rings I really am excited how well this turned out. I will admit I was nervous when Diana asked me to decorate it. I had to tear the white blanket in half lengthwise to get the length we wanted draped on both sides. I'd say with last minute decor items and me not even knowing I'd be doing this, it turned out great! Chris and Bel - good looking couple! Chris and the girls waiting for the wedding to start.  Marcus and Mom Tyler and Aide's sister, Valeria.  So cute!!! Marcus is such a softy. He couldn't help but cry. He looks sad in this picture but he's not, they are tears o

Wedding Set Up

This morning around 11 Bel picked me up and we headed to Zillah to help set up for Marcus and Aide's wedding tomorrow  I was surprised that it was just Marty, Diana, Bel and me to set up 350 chairs. Later in the afternoon Marcus and Aide came and then by early evening their wedding party came to help move tables and decorate them. Jaime picked the kids up from school early so they could come with him to help and so Tyler could do the rehearsal since he would be the ring bearer.  Wow that's a lot of chairs! The archway turned out nice. Simple and elegant. It really is such a pretty venue for an outdoor wedding. I'm so glad we're having good weather! It's hot for most people but it's fine for me. It'll be easier to handle than cold and cloudy weather.  This was put up for Adam, who would have been the best man if he were still here. Because he couldn't step in to be the best man Marcus didn't have one.  A comfy sofa in

Tyler Tyler Tyler

During another one of Tyler's games I was trying to get a picture of Tyler standing talking to Jaime out in the field. But by the time I got my camera ready to take a picture Tyler was running to his position in the field. I can't say it enough how grateful I am that Jaime took this on and decided to coach Tyler's team.  They made a good looking team!! Tyler is enjoying getting bigger I think. He asks to help mow the lawn almost every week now. I think he mostly does it to earn money. He is trying to save his money to buy some Angry Birds Transformers Telepods. They aren't sold in stores anymore. If they were it wasn't for very long. But you can get them online and they aren't cheap. The set he wants is $50! He has $37 saved up so far. He currently only willingly does work if he thinks money is involved. I hope he will be a good worker when he gets older, and not just for money, but that he will want to help serve others as well.

Mother's Day 2017

I woke up to this little beauty bringing me breakfast. Olivia and Lindsey made it all on their own. I know they did because Jaime was still in bed too. :) Strawberry, banana, and silver dollar pancake kabobs, orange stars, and heart pancakes. They even brought in peanut butter and syrup for me. It really was very good and most thoughtful of them to want to do this for me.  Later they came in bearing gifts. Olivia made me a coconut sugar hand scrub.  Jaime (and the kids) gave me a new blendtec blender. Woohoo! Jaime had asked me what I had wanted for dinner. I wasn't really sure. Then I said what I really wanted was lettuce wraps from PF Changs. I thought nothing of it but then was surprised when he told me he had found the recipe and bought everything to make them. So after church he got busy in the kitchen with the girls and they made lettuce wraps. He wouldn't let me in there to attempt to help! I didn't mind but I didn't want it to come acr
