Wedding Set Up

This morning around 11 Bel picked me up and we headed to Zillah to help set up for Marcus and Aide's wedding tomorrow 
I was surprised that it was just Marty, Diana, Bel and me to set up 350 chairs. Later in the afternoon Marcus and Aide came and then by early evening their wedding party came to help move tables and decorate them. Jaime picked the kids up from school early so they could come with him to help and so Tyler could do the rehearsal since he would be the ring bearer.

The archway turned out nice. Simple and elegant.

It really is such a pretty venue for an outdoor wedding. I'm so glad we're having good weather! It's hot for most people but it's fine for me. It'll be easier to handle than cold and cloudy weather. 

This was put up for Adam, who would have been the best man if he were still here. Because he couldn't step in to be the best man Marcus didn't have one. 

A comfy sofa in the shade. Tyler and Aidan found something to keep themselves occupied while the adults were setting things up and getting everything decorated.

I loved these tents. They're so large and sturdy. Everything looked so nice with the white lights, tents, barrels, chalk board pallet signs. It was a simple outdoor wedding theme. Very pretty! 

It was getting late and we still hadn't had dinner so Jaime and I stopped with the kids to eat dinner at KFC in Sunnyside before heading home. I'm so glad the wedding is at 4 tomorrow. It'll give us time to get a good night's sleep and everyone can shower and get ready without being in a giant rush. Good night!

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then.
