The Big ONE

Image
Can you believe Tyler's one? He seems too young to be one. He liked the happy birthday song. Party Number two at Jaime's parents house This blue icing didn't even come off completely in a bath! I won't tell you how about his diaper. :) He had such a good time. Aidan loves birthdays, no matter who's it is. Happy Birthday my Baby.

Kids and their toys

1 Brian pulled out his old train set that he had when he was a kid. Jaime had one when he was a kid too so he enjoyed helping to set it up. Even the younger kids like the trains.  Aidan loves trains so he thought this was great. So mesmerizing.

House Update

The Windows are in! They have the roof on and the cedar shakes in the eves And the bat and board The electrical and duct work are in as well. I can hardly wait until walls go up and the cabinets, flooring, countertops...all the stuff you actually see. It was a lot harder than I thought picking out the colors of everything.  They give you the standard colors of tile, carpet, countertops, granite, and flooring then the next steps up are upgrades you have to pay for. It was a little difficult finding things to match with the standard options. We did pay for a few upgrades but we tried to keep the costs down. I'm happy with what we picked...I hope. It's hard to match a tiny two inch sample of countertop to match a tile for the backsplash that is glued to a giant board with other tiles. Or match the granite, that's glued to a board with other granite, with the 5 inch color of cabinet, and the tile glued to the board. Needless to say, it was a little stressful. I can see somet

Walkn' In a Winter Wonderland

The kids loved the snow. Who would have thought the swing set in my parents yard would be so much fun year round? Aidan thought it was awesome. He went sledding with me down the hill in my parent's yard. He kept saying, "Again! Again!" He had a blast.

Kiddie Update

Lindsey loves school and has awards to prove it. I went to her assembly today where they presented her with her Student of the Month for September award and her perfect attendance award. Olivia isn't one to nap much but today she went down with no problem and slept like a champ.  Almost three hours...and Aidan had woken her up! I didn't think dressing a boy up would be as fun as dressing my girls but look at him! I love it when he looks so handsome. He loves the train.  You should see him in his suit and tie. It's adorable. I need to get a pic of it soon. Tyler is growing so much. He took his first two steps last week.  We can get him to take a couple here and there but nothing streaming yet. He seems to now have mastered, not only going up the stairs, but now going down all by himself. It's hard to believe he will be turning one in December.

Our House

Have you seen the episode of Modern Family where Phil gets the iPad for his birthday? Well, on the iPad there's an app with a birthday cake and candles you can actually blow out. We have it on our iPad so when Aidan woke up, the girls and I walked into his room singing Happy Birthday with this picture of a cake and flickering candles. Aidan was "blowing" out the candles all day. I'd say he was practicing for the "real deal." See this, sheer excitement on this boy's face. He feels so special.  BLOW! YUMMO! Tools, every guy has to have tools! He's a guy now that he's two right? Aahhh, the PLANE! He loves this Furreal bear and how it makes sounds and moves. He likes to hug and carry it around. He even got an electric drill and already knows how to use it. Happy Birthday Aidan! He's no longer a baby.  Definitely a toddler. He totally enjoyed his birthday. He was so excited about his cake with the airplane on it
