Really?

I thought we were done with this! I did enjoy watching it fall last night as it came down in big flakes and pretty hard.  Seeing the kids excitement when they woke up in the morning is always fun too. :)

One of the best ways to play

This past weekend Olivia asked me if I could move the dresser part of her bed out from under her low loft bed. She knows there's empty space underneath of it and likes the idea of having a fort under there. I decided that it wasn't that big a deal and there was a perfect spot to place the dresser so I moved it. Everyday now the kids are playing in the fort. They have a lamp, body pillow and their favorite blankets go in with them. And all sorts of random toys make their way in. They like how it's not one that the boys can nock down like previous forts with blankets and couches. :) This morning the girls got ready for school extra quick so they had some playtime. I had to snag a few pics. It looks like so much fun. The "gate" So snug They got smart and put up a blanket for a "door."

Too Cute

Last night I saw Lindsey working on the computer. I just thought it was so cute to see her running it all on her own, almost like she's older than an almost 8-year-old. She likes to get on the computer and play math games because she's participating in an online math competition. I love it.

And then she turned 6!

My baby girl turned six! She's been counting down the days, believe me. I gave her the options of what she could do to celebrate her birthday. She chose to have a family party. One of her treats was being able to stay Friday night at her Grandma Marcia's house. So we had the party there at my Mom and Dad's since Lindsey and Olivia were already there. It also made it easier for my grandma and grandpa Noble to be able to be apart of it.  The night before the day I baked Olivia's cake she changed her mind about her cake design.  She has been planning and talking about having Monster High cupcakes all month. I had my plan all figured out on how I was going to make them. Olivia changed from Monster High to having orca whales. I had thought it'd be neat to make a cake with the whales sticking out of the "water" but she wanted me to just frost whales on it. I didn't argue! It was much easier, but actually fun at the same time. She does have a soft spot for o

Six years ago today...

I was sitting in our stake's first Stake Conference this morning and I got to thinking. So much changes in life. Our ward turned one year old in Janurary and our stake turned one year today. I realized that there was more that seemed significant to me about this day. Six years ago to this date I was sitting in church having mild contractions. It wasn't anything major but slightly uncomfortable. Monday the 20th was President's day (as is tomorrow)so my doctor's office was closed. I had small contractions that started again in the evening and in the middle of the night they became more irritating. Not painful, just noticeable tightening and kept me from sleeping. I remember sitting on the couch in the family room at 3 a.m. reading my pregnancy and labor books. I was induced with Lindsey so I was a little nervous about knowing when to go into the hospital with baby number two. Also I wasn't due until March so I wasn't expecting to be ready to go into labor. Tuesday

Something New

I finally tried a new hair style for my girls' hair. This post is for you Alisha! You're my inspiration. I thought I'd try this since it is Valentine's Day after all... Can you see the hearts? Or did I just think I was able to actually create them? The kids were excited to find treats and new books for them this morning. Happy Valentine's Day!
