The last week of preschool

Image
Aidan's preschool was able to go on a field trip the last week of school. They went to Yoke's Market to see the ins and outs. Aidan told me all about the bakery with the huge mixers and big ovens. They got to go upstairs and look out the windows to see down on the shopping floor. They all had so much fun.  They saw frogs legs and seafood. Their guide showed them the box crusher and what is done with the broken down boxes. They were given ice cream and goodie bags as well.  While Aidan was at the store Tyler had his 4 yr well child check. Yes it's 5 months late. I put it off because I wasn't up to dealing with his fight and argument against shots. He wasn't happy but he received two shots. He screamed at the top of his lungs when he felt the needle but other than that, he did great. Dr could tell his bright and very inquisitive. He asked about the inside of an ear when he saw a plastic replica. Dr was great and showed Tyler and explained it to him.

Spring is here! Spring is here!

We are happy to announce that it's been warm, sunny, and windless recently! We've enjoyed it to say the least! In fact we didn't turn our AC on until two days ago.  I had a great Mother's Day! Dinner was at Bel's house this year. Such good food!! For Mother's Day Lindsey made me this in Activity Days. It's supposed to represent my four kids and that we are together for eternity. What a sweetheart. She loves to go to the activities. She's learned a lot.  Tee Ball! Go Warriors! Oh wait, Aidan has to talk to the catcher first! Silly kid.  It's a hit! Run!! Aidan was so dirty after his game (the kid spun and played in the dirt when he was out on the field.) he took a bath. Tyler can't pass up a bath so he climbed in too. These two really are best friends.  Late night shopping at Home Depot isn't complete without testing the riding mowers.  Duck face! Someone got my phone to play with the camera... Olivia made a nutritious dinner to pass off one o

May the Fourth Be With You

We celebrated Star Wars Day (May 4th) on May 5th instead. Kind of a Cinco de Mayo celebration but Star Wars style because I didn't feel it was very appropriate for Sunday. I was glad we did it Monday because our kids and their friends who came over were able to go out and run around and play on the playground and ride bikes, something we don't generally do on Sundays.  We invited the Perez family and Price family over. We had Star Wars themed foods that everyone enjoyed! Obi-Wan Kabobies Frozen carbonite (complete with a frozen Han Solo), light sabers (dipped pretzels) and Hans Rolos. :) Our beverages.  And we had Palpatine's pizzas. Pizzas with pepperoni cut shapes of star fighter ships and the Death Star.  Ang made her wonderful Jabba slime guacomole and Jodi brought the chips for "princess lays" :)  We enjoyed the visiting and time to relax with friends. Happy fourth!

Another weekend of fun

Last weekend Aunt Elizabeth asked if she could take the girls for the weekend to play with them. She was so sweet to do a movie night for them.  Saturday they went to the dinosaur exhibit at the Sundome.  They had so much fun on the rides and activities and seeing the dinosaurs move. I'd like to see it! Looks pretty cool.  So while the girls were gone my mom asked if the boys could stay with her. Why not?! They like the attention ad get aways too for the most part. They would have liked the dinosaurs but hey... These boys got see pet, brush, and ride some horses on Saturday! I love Aidan's face in this pic.  These boys love animals!! And they love driving grandpas tractor! So what did Jaime and I do with another kid free weekend? We actually worked this time. :) a friend had given us some furniture so we spent Saturday moving stuff around and reorganizing stuff. One of my favorite things to do! We went to Costco to stock up on some food storage items. It was fun for me to organ

Preschool wrap up

April 29 and May 1were my last days teaching preschool for the year. Only a few more weeks left for these kids and then they get Summer Break! W is for Worm. Pudding cups with gummy worms! W is for Wind. They LOVED this! I also read a few books that started with W and Wacky Wednesday was one of them. When I finished reading the book I told the kids to check around them the next morning to see if there's anything wacky. Tyler took it so serious!! Wednesday morning he woke up and turned on his light, waking up Aidan. I walked in when I saw the light on and asked what he was doing. He said he was looking for wacky things! I laughed. So cute. I didn't want to disappoint so I went downstairs and put a chair on a table and a shoe on a wall so Olivia jumped in and taped flip flops on walls and was tipping chairs over. So funny. Tyler came downstairs and had fun seeing all the wacky things.  Thursday we did a bit more of W and then moved on to patterns. This was a lot of fun. Some alre
