Single Motherin'

Image
Jaime has a work conference in Palm Springs. I seriously, like really HATE it when he has to leave town for work things. I am grateful for my sweet kids though. It's still nice to have someone to talk to when he's gone.  After church I took Jaime to the airport then came back home to my babies. I was reading while laying down in bed and I was bombarded by these cuties.  I came out to the lost to see Aidan doing some reading too. My little bookworm. He and Lindsey both are. Now if I could only get Olivia and Tyler to really like reading.  Jaime left our warm temperatures in Pasco to sweltering HOT temps in Palm Springs. Ugh! Yeah that's his take on it too. And he's gone ALL week! I took the kids to the park one day this week. Anything to pass time as a single mom right? Just Liv and the boys this week! Libby and Lindsey Lindsey was been gone all week at girls' camp.  She had a really good time. Pasco 10th Ward Yo

Day Camp June 22-24, 2017

This year was my first Cub Scout Day Camp and Aidan's as well. I lot of work sure goes in to these three days. I'm glad it's over! In a good work paid off kind of way. ;) The theme "Wild Wild West" The water races They learned about real indian artifacts during the lunch time show.  Panning for gold. The gold they found they got to put in little glass jars with a cork so they could take their gold home. Leather working. A real black smith. He's called a ferrier. He makes horse shoes and puts them on horses. This was another lunchtime show. It was as interesting for all the adults as well as the boys.  "Worms in the mud" Aidan and Noah with their dirt pudding and worms. Aidan enjoyed making the pudding and crushing the cookies and putting the worms in however, he didn't want to eat it. hahah which I find funny because he loves Oreo cookies and chocolate pudding. It's the putting it togethe

Let's Get Summer Started!

Image
The first week of summer break and we started it off right. We went to the city pool with Christensen's. The floating obstacle course was fun for the kids to race others on. Olivia is racing a friend from school. A perk of going to the city pool is the kids find friends from school to play with as well! Liv going down the slide.  I didn't know my phone out for too long. The kids enjoyed the water slides and just swimming until the swim session ended. That's summer!!

Happy Father's Day!

Image
The primary chorister asked some Dad's to help in singing time. Jaime, Dave Taylor, Tyler Harris, Jeremy Meredith Looks like Dave was guessed first. :) The kids had a lot of fun guessing the dads. What a bunch of good sports.  Jaime in the horse mask. hahaha We spent Father's Day at Uncle Ruben's this year. All Jaime's relatives on the Morales side come for lunch.  Jaime and lil Ruben grilled up some burgers.  I was so excited to see my hydrangeas looking so blue and purplish that I needed to take a picture of them.  I don't seem to grow things very well. I have a very brown thumb so when I have something growing longer than a few months after I planted it it's a big deal!!

Women and Girls Shootout

Image
Dad asked if Lindsey and I would like to come to the women's shoot out at the shooting range he goes to. It was an informational event that taught safety and how to use a gun. We rotated to different stations and shot different guns.  The .22 was Lindsey's favorite I was instructed how to shoot an assault rifle.  It was fun to try but it's actually too big for me. I needed a shorter handle for the shoulder. It was hard to keep my eye on the site and reach the trigger.  But the guy was very patient and easy to work with.  She wasn't a beg fan of shooting the rifle because it had a bigger kick but I'm glad she tried it.  This is the first time I've ever shot a hand gun. I actually did pretty good! I shot a couple different hand guns. It was a nice morning to be able to do something new and not worry about feeling embarrassed as we were all learning. After we were done we were served a BBQ lunch...grilled by my Dad!

Last Day of School 2016-2017 year

Image
Today is Ainzlee's last time riding the bus with my boys. She will be in middle school next year! It's been fun seeing her grow up as well as my boys. She seemed so little when she first started walking with Aidan when he started Kindergarten.  I went to the school to get a last day pic of Jaime and Olivia and then one with the adopted one...Emily :) They don't look too much older from the first day and the last day of school. Lindsey does look a little older though. And of course Aidan has glasses. All of them have grown a decent amount as well. My babies are growing!!! Time goes faster as I get older. Each year my kids get more and more of a schedule that I have to keep up with and the days just go by faster and faster.
