Time with Ryan

Image
I went to visit Lori and help her around the house. I enjoyed the baby snuggles, visiting with Lori, and feeding Ryan his first bottle at home. He took it like a champ!

Thanksgiving Break

Image
Thanksgiving Break is here! We were lucky to have Summer and the kids come stay at our house a few days before Brian came for the holiday. We were able to celebrate Ezra's birthday while he was here. The Christensen's came over to celebrate with us too.  Adam and Brandi stopped by our house for a couple hours before we met up with the rest of the family to celebrate Grandpa Noble's birthday. We had a good game on to watch. Watching a game with friends and family around always seems like a party for me and makes the game more fun.  We were able to use the cafeteria at Jaime's school to have pizza and salad for dinner. Emily's family was here, Mel and Tim, Adam and Brandi's family, Lori and Stuart, and our family were all there.  The kids were able to use the gym to run around and play. It helped mom's house to not be a crowded and noisy place for Grandpa's dinner. Plus it was easier to clean up and there was lots of space for everyone

Softball Season Wraps Up

Image
Tonight was the Fall sports night at the high school. It was to give kids their awards and talk about how the season went. There was a slide show up of all the teams at different events. I snapped a few shots of the pictures that Lindsey was in.  She had a fun team. She's thinking she will be a returning soft ball player next year! The smallest one out their. I've passed that curse on to all my kids. The team shirts (the coach is wearing) had their team saying on the back. "We love that for you." It was such a positive approach on everything they did.  Running in from the outfield. Great action shot! She got her varsity letter and academic athlete award as well.

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Image
I've been slow to start decorating for Christmas it seems. I know it's not December yet but it seems like so many I know already have their trees and decor up. I haven't gotten that all done yet but am getting closer! Today I set up the front porch. Lights make me happy. :) The outside is done! Now I need to get that tree up inside.

Liandrew's Baptism

Image
We went to support Marcus and attend Liandrew's baptism. An infant baptism in the Catholic church was a new experience for my family. The kids were attentive and reverent but did say they could feel the difference from their baptisms to how this one felt. We referred to the 11th Article of Faith and how it says that we claim the privilege of being able to worship how we may and allow everyone else the same privilege to worship how, where, or what they may. We believe in baptism at the age of 8, the age of accountability. Children younger than that are innocent and don't need to be baptized yet. Aide and Marcus chose to have Liandrew baptized like they've been taught in growing up. We explained to our kids that it was ok. They're trying to live a righteous life the way they know how. They're good people, and a wonderful family. So we're going to support them just as we're grateful for their support in our religious beliefs.  Such a cute little family!

Mini Mission

Image
The youth of our ward were called on mini missions. Lindsey and Olivia were hesitant for this activity. They didn't know what to expect. They knew they'd be doing a service project and were told to dress warm and in clothes you can get dirty. They were worried about that.  Lindsey was called to Salt Lake City Family History Mission. Olivia was called to Anaheim, CA. Their mission presidents actually served in those missions so they were taught about the exact mission. Lindsey loved, I mean LOVED her mission! She said that was where she wants to go to serve her real mission. They both had so much fun a great experiences.  The service project was cleaning out horse stalls and grounds at a horse camp for special needs kids. Turns out they had a lot of fun working together with the other missionaries and leaders. :) It wasn't as bad as they were anticipating it to be.  Olivia's mission  Every mission went to member homes for dinner. We had some o

Veteran's Day Assembly

Image
Aidan was able to be part of the color guard for his Veteran's Day assembly at school. He was so excited and took it very seriously. He wanted to do it right and made sure the other boys did as well.  Not only was he part of the color guard but he was one of the narrators for the program as well.  I loved that he was front an center for the entire program so I could get a good view of him for pictures.  He loves the music he learns in choir. He had a packet of the songs to practice at home. Let me tell you, he did practice.  :) I love hearing him sing his songs.  There was a slide show that showed pictures of Vets who had relation to some of the students at the school.  Aidan's great-grandpa Dean Naylor  Aidan helped to hold the flags for each branch of the military when the correlating song was sung.  He's probably the smallest 4th grader up there but he's also the cutest. :) Grandpa Naylor came to watch Aidan. It was
