Priest Lake Cabin

Image
We rented this beautiful cabin on the golf course at Priest Lake with Ritchies. Tyler and Hayley. Relaxing on the cabin deck. We walked along the docks at the lake. Lindsey, Mason, Olivia Hayley and Lindsey. Everyone loved the outdoor seating.  They love being along the water. You know when you've got someone who gets you and you never get tired of each other and you can laugh hysterically with? Yeah, that's this girl with me. I love all the trips and fun times we have hanging out together Sarah. :) Sarah made sure there were lots of fun activities to do.  Cookie decorating was a big hit. Other activities were doing our nails, games, walks on the golf course, making slime, and ping pong.  Sarah taught me how she makes her delicious caramel apples.  I need a little work on them to get them looking fancy but when we slice them up no one can tell how they looked. In individual slices they look super nice! She's a good teacher! We played Splendor one evening. The kids enjoyed t

Who Needs a Classroom

We had to cancel some trips this year thanks to covid-19. So when our friends, Sarah and Brandon Ritchie, invited us to take a weekend trip to a cabin we were all for it.  This is how we school now. No reason to have kids miss class when we're traveling. :D #zoomschool2020 #schoolontheroad2020

When in quarantine

Lindsey and Olivia have enjoyed a lot of the funny jokes and memes during the pandemic making fun of the lack of toilet paper. It's amazing that it flew off the shelves and people couldn't seem to get enough. In light of the situation the girls created this funny little toilet character.

Off She Goes...to Her Room

First day of school for Lindsey. Only seminary and one HS class. The rest of is running start classes at Columbia Basin College. She's going to be great; I just know it.  Aaaaaand...here's her classroom LOL. Literally she goes to her room for school. Everything is online thanks to the Covid pandemic. It's not looking like schools will be opening up any time soon. We're in this for the long haul.

Aidan Turns 12

Image
Aidan turns 12 today! He's the most chill, easy going, easy to get along with kid. He's well behaved and obedient. Seriously the easiest to have around...probably to make up for being such a tough baby for me ;). We celebrated his birthday with some extended family tonight with by having his choice of dinner-- meatloaf and baked potatoes. He chose ice cream sundaes for dessert. He takes after his mother, ice cream all the way.  Happy Birthday Aidan!! The evening lead to some karaoke of Disney music and a little Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Journey. Aidan, we celebrate you today! Happy birthday!

How We School in 2020

Image
I gave the boys haircuts before school started. Not that they were actually going to be going TO school, rather it'll all be virtual, but there's something about starting school with a fresh haircut.  School has begun in a very different way.  It's all virtual. Lots of Zoom meetings and submitting all work online.  It's not how Olivia imagined high school to be for sure. I've got to hand it to these great kids. They're still happy and positive about the entire situation. They're not happy about it but they're happy to have something.
