Thanksgiving 2019

Image
We spent Thanksgiving at my parents house this year. Emily and Elizabeth's families were also there.  Nothing screams holidays like long tables of food to fit everyone! Kids in the kitchen. When I was a kid I remember sitting in the kitchen at my grandma's. We liked it because there seemed to be more laughing at our table than the adults. Now that I'm an adult I still feel like the table I sit at is fun with lots of laughter. Maybe it's just me. lol After dinner we went to the park so the kids could play and burn off some energy and we could go for a walk.  Jaime and Jocelyn. Look at her little red nose! It was pretty cold.  I had a lot of fun with Emily. So glad she could come.  Emma and Olivia swinging. Ok, Olivia is swinging. haha Emma is pretending to swing. What happened to the swing? Who knows. lol But glancing at the pic it looks like they're both swinging.  Emily, Mom, John, Elizabeth...those smiles...all so happy! I'm so thankful for my family and that

On October 27 Jaime took Lindsey out driving...When I saw that he was calling me I knew it wasn't good.  She misstepped and pressed the accelerator instead of the break. She hopped the curb and hit this giant rock. It took a long time for friends and Jaime to get it out of this rock island.  After the mechanic looked it over there was more damage done than we realized.  The frame was bent, so it wasn't just damaged on the outside.  Because of the damage the insurance company claimed the car a total loss. The cost to fix it was more than what the car was worth so it was sold for parts and we were paid a great value of the car which enabled us to give a great payment on our new car.  The 2018 Chevy Traverse High Country edition.  I love it and I really love the two tone saddle brown leather on the interior.  Lindsey felt awful for the accident but I told her that I'd rather her total a car this way, where no one was hurt, than to be in a major traffic accident with major inju

Visit Magnolia, bucket list item checked off! I made the 1,901 miles to magnolia with Diana and Bel.  The atmosphere is inviting and adorable.  You should know, I can pass up on cake/cupcakes any day. But today I felt I needed to experience the Magnolia Bakery. My campfire cupcake was oh so good! They make 5,000 cupcakes a day! Diana enjoyed her cupcakes as well! The antique shop where our tour began.  Clint Harp's store. He's the woodworker for Chip and Jo on their show.  Seeing the old homes and buildings that Chip and Jo have bought and renovated was really cool. This castle would be a fun makeover.  The old church building Jo plans to have moved over to their area by the Silos and fix it up.  We have a great time on the tour. Didn't buy anything but we learned a lot and had a delicious luncheon provided after the tour.  Where it all started. This was Joanna Gains' first shop. They sell their last season items here now.  We took a Fixer Upper tour and went to some of
