Skipping Through January

Image
January seems to have slipped away so fast. So here's a little recap... Aidan can smile and make me smile even after he's just been hurt. Somehow he bonked his head and put a cold pack on his head, Olivia gave him the glow stick glasses to help him cheer up.  Aidan and Tyler went to their friend Elias' birthday party. Elias and his family speak mostly Spanish. It was a traditional hispanic party complete with a piΓ±ata and loud music in the garage. :) Aidan and Tyler feel comfortable enough to speak with their Spanish and have a great time.  On January 17 we went for dinner at Darin and Christy's.  This mousse she made was so good! Lindsey wanted to get a picture of it and wants me to learn to make it. :) My favorite part in the raspberry sauce. YUM! Yeah it's a big hit with every one. (Don't mind the paint patches on the wall. Darin is in the process of picking new paint.) I love this picture of Tyler and Grandpa Nobl

This Kid 😍

Tyler still loves cars, trains, trucks, planes. He also loves Star Wars. Put Star Wars theme in with things that go and he's in heaven! He loves his Star Wars space ships. He used his own money to buy this set from the Jedi side. He already had the ships from the Dark side that he received for Christmas. He was patient and waited till after school to go to the store to buy this. It was a shopping trip with Jaime and I and only Tyler. The kid was on cloud nine.  Look! More Star Wars. I love how when he smiles his face just shoots out rays of happy light. He has such a sparkly light in his eyes. I'm excited to see what this kid will do with his life. With the personality he has, nothing will hold him back.

Almost Done

Chris and Bel went out for lunch with his Dad one afternoon. Bel doesn't go out too much. Everyone's pretty good at trying to keep her germ exposure to a minimum. And Chris baby's her and doesn't want to risk her getting sick with a fever. He always says there will be days when she can but now let's no do too much.  Bel's chemo infusions, labs, and follow up visits are every other Tuesday. I still go to most appointments and take notes and send them to the family so everyone is in the loop with her progress. Her doctors and nurses are all so great. I appreciate them saying with sincerity that they will take good care of Bel. When doctors and nurses find out who Bel's doctors are for everything they say she got the Dream Team. Things like that are a little comforting to know she could have the best around here. They always say how pretty Bel's smile is. Bel always talks positively and happy to them. She does a good job at looking forward to her

It's Been How Long Since We Last Got Together?!

Image
It has been waaayyy too long since we last hung out with the Andersons. We waited until the last day of Christmas break to get together with these guys. Lindsey said we should have gotten together sooner than that and I totally agree. It's amazing how long it takes for us to plan a day to hang out. They have crazy busy schedules, we have ours and it's not like we live super far from each other but we definitely don't have paths that cross. Life just gets in the way sometimes.  So anyway, we decided to do something different and go bowling. Jaime helping Aidan I am so grateful these kids can still get together and talk and goof around as if they saw each other last week. Cami has had a good growth spurt...Lindsey grows like me. Hardly at all. Hehehe Go Liv! Look at her bowling with her hand in her pocket. :) Jaime and Jeremy bought the kids some game cards to go play games in the arcade. The kids go with their traditional playmates. Ai

Starting the New Year

The kids earned some free tickets to go to Rollarena and had been wanting to go skating during the holiday break. We took them today to go skate. At the beginning there weren't too many people there but the longer we were there it got busier.  Aidan and Tyler needed a little refresher to get the hang of skating but they did it! Able to get away from the rail and skate without help.  They play games throughout the skate time and my kids like to participate. Lindsey won the limbo and a name that song, Olivia won name that song (with some help from me saying who was singing the song but they said parents could help!), and Aidan won the dice game. They win skate bucks and then trade them in for a toy of their choice. Tyler didn't win anything this time but Lindsey, the little sweetheart, used some of her own money and bought Tyler a 50 cent toy.  Blurry pics. They're smiling that's all you need to see. 😁 Later in the evenin
