It's Been How Long Since We Last Got Together?!

It has been waaayyy too long since we last hung out with the Andersons. We waited until the last day of Christmas break to get together with these guys. Lindsey said we should have gotten together sooner than that and I totally agree. It's amazing how long it takes for us to plan a day to hang out. They have crazy busy schedules, we have ours and it's not like we live super far from each other but we definitely don't have paths that cross. Life just gets in the way sometimes. 
So anyway, we decided to do something different and go bowling.

I am so grateful these kids can still get together and talk and goof around as if they saw each other last week. Cami has had a good growth spurt...Lindsey grows like me. Hardly at all. Hehehe

Jaime and Jeremy bought the kids some game cards to go play games in the arcade. The kids go with their traditional playmates. Aidan and Tyler play with Carson, Lindsey and Cami, and Olivia and Alex. They all got along great too. Taking turns letting the other pick which game they played next.




They all received a ton of prize tickets from the games they won. It was sweet that they put them all together so all the kids (even the littles) were able to get a toy when they turned the tickets in for toys.

After bowling and games we headed to Dairy Queen for dinner.

One of the best parts of the girls having phones is the videos, pictures, and selfies that they take.




These selfies of the oldest six are some of my favorites. True friends, they don't miss a beat when they finally get to hang out. And each time we do get together we always say to each other, "why don't we do this more often?" We'd all like to see each other more, I mean they're practically family! We just need to not let life get in the way so much that it's so long in between hang outs. Lindsey says it should be our new years resolution...it's a good one! Maybe it's a goal we can stick to. ;)

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
