A Job Well Done

Image
Congratulations, Jaime, for being awarded ANOTHER North Star Award. He earned his first one when he was the Director of Technology and now during his first year of being principal. You must be doing something right, Babe! Keep up the good work.

Ouch!

That's all there is to say.  (This pic doesn't even show how tall that bump protruded from his forehead.  His head totally looks mishapen.)

Nothing but ICE!

Crazy kids don't care how cold it is. They have to play outside if there's white stuff on the ground. Only now it's not snow. It's solid ice. Jaime had to break up the ice on the driveway just to shovel it off. It was cute to watch Aidan and Tyler take one step and fall it was so slick. I love how bundled up they look. Tyler was so stoked to go out. Here Aidan was walking to stand by Lindsey and down he went.  Always a good sport about it however. I could just watch Tyler walk around all day...if it wasn't so cold. :) Kids went to attempt sledding on the "hills" at the church behind our house. They'll have fun.

It's A Blizzard Out There!

The kids were so excited to wake up to snow...lots of it! Aidan could hardly wait to go out in it.   Look at his picture in the column on the left. That's Aidan in last year's big snow. I think he'll always like the snow. Lindsey had a 2 hour school delay and it was Olivia's Wednesday off since we have half day kinder and Wednesdays are early release so only P.M. Kinder classes attended today. Anyway, Olivia had a dentist appointment so we had to wait until almost 2 before we could go out in the mess. It was fun to watch the kids tromp through the snow that went up to their knees. I shoveled the driveway and watched them play. Why is it that kids have to play on the snow you're trying to shovel or throw snow back on the driveway? It was fun to listen to their imaginative play around me. After they were cold to the bone THEN they decide to come inside. Aidan wanted a bath to warm up in and Olivia and the girls across the street came in for hot cocoa with mars

Big Surprise!!!

So after Elizabeth's reception we all pitched in to help clean up. Jaime was great to come back and help clean up after he took the kids to his parents to put them to bed.  (However, it turns out there were ulterior motives! Keep reading.) It was New Year's Eve and we had no plans other than heading back home and going to bed as we were all tired. Jaime hadn't seen Lori's new apartment so we went to go see that and visit for a bit. After we left Jaime asked if I was hungry but I wasn't too bad and said just go home. He decided to stop at Bob's Burgers and Brew.  I asked, "What time are your parents expecting us to get back there to the kids? It's late."  It was already 9:45.  Jaime said, "They won't be expecting us." As he pulls out...  A HOTEL KEY! Yep, this guy had this all planned out. We didn't go out for our anniversary and we didn't have a New Year's party planned so he booked an anniversary date

Wedding!!!

Image
Saturday December 31st was my sister Elizabeth's wedding. Her and Jon Robbins were married in the Columbia River Temple. They look so happy together!  The sealing was absolutely beautiful!  Here Elizabeth is about to throw her bouquet!  Summer, Lisa, Lori, and Maybrie It's too bad we didn't get a picture with my oldest sister Emily and all the other little girls who wore matching dresses. It was a crazy day for kids so Emily left to put her kids into bed. Jaime took our kids to Zillah and met his parents who took our kids to their house and put them to bed. Jaime came back to the church to help us clean up after the reception. (Told you I married a great guy!) Congratulations Jon and Elizabeth! I wish nothing but happiness for you together!
