Another weekend of fun

Last weekend Aunt Elizabeth asked if she could take the girls for the weekend to play with them. She was so sweet to do a movie night for them. 

Saturday they went to the dinosaur exhibit at the Sundome. 


They had so much fun on the rides and activities and seeing the dinosaurs move. I'd like to see it! Looks pretty cool. 

So while the girls were gone my mom asked if the boys could stay with her. Why not?! They like the attention ad get aways too for the most part. They would have liked the dinosaurs but hey...

These boys got see pet, brush, and ride some horses on Saturday!

So what did Jaime and I do with another kid free weekend? We actually worked this time. :) a friend had given us some furniture so we spent Saturday moving stuff around and reorganizing stuff. One of my favorite things to do!

We went to Costco to stock up on some food storage items. It was fun for me to organize my food storage room and pantry a bit. My pantry isn't organized as neat as I'd like but I'm hoping to get it there slowly. 

We moved a bookcase downstairs into the office closet and put the kids board games and puzzles in it. They love it! Every day this week Aidan and Tyler have pulled out some games for us to play. They like being able to get them out themselves. I like not having to stand on a chair to get a game off the top shelf in the closet for them! Definitely a smart move for all of us.

For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
