Sisters Make the Best Friends

Lindsey sent me this picture of her and Olivia. They're gone all day at CBC for a choir event for the middle and high school choirs. I'm so grateful that they're good friends.

  I invited my nephew James to come stay with us for a week. He's been so much fun to have around. We've had good Sunday and FHE meetings with him, game time - lots of games, and I've just enjoyed his humor and seeing him spend time with my kids.  More games and smoothies. And having three boys to mow the lawn sure gets the job done quick! They were so helpful and happy to work together.  A cute Koda napping picture for us to enjoy. 😊

That Time of Year

October, that time of year when leaves turn color and start to fall, grape harvest is on, I turn a year older, and we plan a fun weekend getaway!  Yes I turned Thirty ONE-derful. The prime of life...or so they say. Whoever "they" are, but regardless, I'm feeling great about my life. Wonderful marriage, great kids, healthy, well established, great area to live in, great friends to be around, extended family close by...yeah I'd say I have it pretty good. On Sunday October 7th, Jaime asked me if I could have anything I wanted, what would I like for my birthday dinner. I said Mexican food sounded great. I thought it was just a question of wonder. On Monday I wasn't feeling up to making myself a birthday dinner, mainly because I made a great dinner on Sunday for Conference and considered that to be my dinner. THREE Years?!?!?!

On Wednesday September 3rd, 2008 I was at my Mom's house. I started having small contractions that kept getting more frequent. When I would be talking to my mom and have to stop just to breathe we decided that I was in labor and would probably be going to the hospital that night rather than the next morning for my scheduled induction. We had dinner there and after dinner I told Jaime to go ahead and go to mutual as he was in the Young Men's presidency. I wasn't in enough pain and didn't want to go to the hospital too early. Lindsey and Olivia would stay the night since they were going to anyway so Jaime and I could just get up Thursday morning and head to the hospital to be induced into labor. We got the girls in to bed and I said good bye.
