Oregon Coast Spring Break Trip

Spring Break!

We rented a house on the Oregon Coast for us and the kids. 

We had to walk across the street and then down these long stairs to get to the water,

but it was totally worth it. Our first evening at the beach the kids acted like they'd never seen it before. They were that excited to be back. Seeing them laugh and run around together gave me warm fuzzies. 

We had so much fun being out on the sand and seeing the ocean. It's too cold to get in the water but we have fun playing out on the beach. We wrote sand names.

This is our cute little family. Something I always wanted in life. 

My boys! I love how Aidan just danced around free as a bird!

Lindsey could live on the beach. She dreams to have her own beach house some day. I hope she can make that happen if her heart desires to still do that when she's older.

The house we rented was super cute. 

We had plenty of space to relax and watch movies in the evening. We watched Moana, it seemed fitting to watch since we were on the ocean.

The house we rented was in a development called Olivia Beach. Years ago when the area was knew Jaime and I had walked through a model home here. We loved the area. Jaime and looked at rentals there before and now we finally made it. 

The house had air hockey

and foosball to help give some other entertainment during our week.

For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
