Olivia's Senior Prom

Image
Olivia walked out to her car in the school parking lot and found a promposal sitting there for her. Her friend Asher asked her out. They've been friends since middle school. They've both gone to lots of activities and hangouts with their friends. Their entire group of friends are so good. It was cute to see Asher finally ask Olivia.  It was a hot day. The gummy bears got a bit mushy and melted together sitting out there on her hot car hood. 😂 They still tasted good she said.  Asher and Olivia They had so much fun together. Just how senior prom should be. Olivia's been raking in the memories and creating so many fun "lasts" before she graduates.

Mother's Day

Image
It was a wonderful Mother's Day. All of my kids were home! Just seeing them all being together and laughing brings me so much joy.  Breakfast with everyone around the table is so nice. Mother's Day pictures with all of my kids! And I mean all of my kids. Isaac will be married to Lindsey so soon and I love him already.  He fits right in! Well, besides that he's so much taller than the rest of us. 😂 It was so sweet of Isaac and Lindsey to come home for the weekend.  Even Koda was happy and giving kisses.  These pictures just make my heart burst. I feel so blessed. Truly, blessed beyond measure.  They're all so fun. I love when they're all around.

The Magic of the night skies

We had friends over playing games tonight. We knew there was a buzz about being able to see the northern lights but when we'd looked outside there wasn't anything to see. It was literally minutes later that Olivia said her friend could see them and so she went outside. She came back and said they're there! We went outside and it was absolutely beautiful! I have never seen northern lights before so this was so exciting. None of us had seen them before! Even our friends were able to cross this off a bucket list.  Truly, our world is beautiful. I know there's science reasoning behind why things like this happen,  but seriously, how can you not believe that God created this and science is just part of the creating of His world?! It just doesn't look real, but it is. It truly felt magical being outside in our BACKYARD with family and friends. Definitely a blessed feeling I don't take for granted.

May The Fourth Be With You... and into Cinco de Mayo

Image
We celebrated May the 4th with Bel and Chris this year at their place Bel and I put together a fun spread for themed food for our dinner.  Sometimes it's fun to still get to play and be a kid. :) I didn't get any pictures this year of Cinco de Mayo. But this year I wanted to have our celebration with my family. It landed on a Sunday this year so it worked out for everyone to be able to come. Mom and Dad, Elizabeth and Lori's families as well. I made it all. Enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, aqua Fresca, and fresas y crema. Everyone enjoyed the food. I loved having everyone over and spending time with them. I do get enjoyment of being able to make food for others when we get to be together.
