Farewell To Friends

Image
It's hard to say good bye to people who are such great friends. We went for one last "hangout" and to help Ben and Corrine pack...or so we thought. Instead we enjoyed wonderful homemade pizza with a potluck of toppings and had wonderful laughs with the best of friends. We did get to pack and move a few things. :) I know Carina already posted these pics as well but I couldn't help it. They turned out so well and you can see the kind of friendship we had. I loved it when we got together with our families and when it was just "the girls." We've had plenty of girls nites, exercise groups, play dates and park gatherings, singing together, having dinners, lunches, even breakfasts, and of course baby showers. I mean, we've had six babies between the four of us in just the few years we've known each other! We miss you already. Going to church and not having you in the pew in front of us was hard.  We wish you luck in your new adventure!

Little Helpers

I've enjoyed the last few days with Aidan and Olivia as we've played, read, and they've even decided to do a little work around the house. So cute to watch.

Soon to be Home Sweet Home

I finally got to go walk through our house. I hadn't been their since before there were walls. Now so much has been done that it looks like a house with rooms. It was exciting to see the color choices coming together in everything.

The Big ONE

Can you believe Tyler's one? He seems too young to be one. He liked the happy birthday song. Party Number two at Jaime's parents house This blue icing didn't even come off completely in a bath! I won't tell you how about his diaper. :) He had such a good time. Aidan loves birthdays, no matter who's it is. Happy Birthday my Baby.

Kids and their toys

1 Brian pulled out his old train set that he had when he was a kid. Jaime had one when he was a kid too so he enjoyed helping to set it up. Even the younger kids like the trains.  Aidan loves trains so he thought this was great. So mesmerizing.

House Update

The Windows are in! They have the roof on and the cedar shakes in the eves And the bat and board The electrical and duct work are in as well. I can hardly wait until walls go up and the cabinets, flooring, countertops...all the stuff you actually see. It was a lot harder than I thought picking out the colors of everything.  They give you the standard colors of tile, carpet, countertops, granite, and flooring then the next steps up are upgrades you have to pay for. It was a little difficult finding things to match with the standard options. We did pay for a few upgrades but we tried to keep the costs down. I'm happy with what we picked...I hope. It's hard to match a tiny two inch sample of countertop to match a tile for the backsplash that is glued to a giant board with other tiles. Or match the granite, that's glued to a board with other granite, with the 5 inch color of cabinet, and the tile glued to the board. Needless to say, it was a little stressful. I can see somet...

Walkn' In a Winter Wonderland

The kids loved the snow. Who would have thought the swing set in my parents yard would be so much fun year round? Aidan thought it was awesome. He went sledding with me down the hill in my parent's yard. He kept saying, "Again! Again!" He had a blast.
