A Morales Minute

My parents invited us over for a Polar Express themed dinner and movie. When we got there the train conductor (Dad) was out in the fog of the train (fog machine) waving his lantern saying "All aboard!" We walked up, handed him our tickets and "boarded the train." We followed the train tracks to the North Pole where we had a yummy breakfast dinner of pocket watch pancakes, hot cocoa, and other goodies I can't remember the cute names of. We ate dinner and watched the Polar Express. Whenever we'd hear the Christmas bell ring in the movie we'd run in to the living room and hunt for the bell. Whoever found it got to hide it again and we had to wait to hear the bells ring again before going back to find it. The boys had fun, even though it was a simple game, they appreciated the fun that their grandparents were creating. Generally mom and dad invite a family with younger kids from their ward. This year they invited us to experience there fun night with them.  ...

The kids came home from Rexburg for Thanksgiving break. I bought tickets ahead of time to go see Moana 2. I just wanted to watch it with my kids. haha Any excuse for us to get together now that they don't all live at home.  We got to celebrate Thanksgiving this year with the Morales side. We missed Marcus, Aide, and Liandrew though. We had a wonderful thanksgiving feast and like usual, we played games and laughed like crazy.  We did some Black Friday shopping and got things shifted into Christmas mode! The kids wanted to lunch at Zip's so Bel and Chris met us there and Olivia's BFF came along too.  Makayla and Olivia. They still talk most nights now that Olivia has moved. When Olivia comes home they don't miss a beat and make sure to get together. I loved having her join us.  This little guy decided he liked Lindsey's new saucer gaming chair and made it his own. He likes sitting in a chair close to me rather than on the floor at my feet. Silly dog.   

I don't care how old he gets, I think he will always be my baby  uh puppy. 😁 I love that he likes to cuddle! He really is just so sweet. He will always seem like a puppy to me.   

Being in the Teacher's Quorum presidency, Tyler helps plan some of the activities for the young men in his group. The other night was supposed to be a movie night but nothing was planned other than that. No home to watch it in so the leaders said to bring a movie to the church and they'd vote on what to watch. Tyler wasn't looking forward to going and he said no one else was either. I told him that it was because nothing was planned. If he picked a movie, planned themed foods around it and had it at our house more boys would come and they'd be excited about it. So Tyler decided to do that. He opened our house to the event and said he'd be showing Transformers One and supplying snacks.  He set out Transformers as decorations and helped me plan the food to go with the theme.  We made signs to label the different snacks. We went for a short trip to Arizona because Jaime had a work conference there. We were able to celebrate Liandrew's birthday while we were there! He loves axolotls and received this cute 3D printed one from Darin and his girls.  He got in some good hits on the piñata! My kids and their cousins! I feel so blessed that we could see Darin and his girls while we were in Arizona. We invited them to come over for the birthday party since we didn't have a car that fit us all to be able to go see them this time.  Darin, Elise, Makaela mini golfing. I love the glow in the dark golf balls.  It wouldn't be a complete trip visit at grandma and grandpa's without getting to swim.  Aidan enjoys making others laugh. The kids came home from school for my birthday weekend! I love having all 5 of them home. They were so sweet to want to come spend time with me for my birthday. I took them to Middleton's Fall Festival. I feel like they were there to amuse me. Playing in the corn pit... Tug of war. 4 against 1. The 4 little ones were able to pull out the win!  Corn maze photos! We went through a couple of corn mazes. Tyler is surprisingly good at them!  The kids had a blast shooting the potato blasters at cars.  Aside from the potato guns we went down the zip lines, slides, tried the fresh donuts and felt like we were walking around the fair! The newly weds. So cute. And they really don't know just how much it meant to me for them to come home this weekend.  We had such a good time...and couldn't have asked for better fall weather! Tyler's been working hard in football. He's on the freshman team. The boy loves being part of a team. On the weekends he goes to the varsity games and cheers them on with his teammates.
