A Morales Minute

Koda is now five months old. He's still just as fun to watch as ever. It's so cute to see him looking out the window for family.  Even nap time is cute! We had another dusting of snow. Koda went out to enjoy the beauty of it. He just sat there and looked around for the longest time. It's not the first time he's seen snow, we had lots when we first got him.  On his way to get his first haircut.  It's not quite what I wanted. They weren't supposed to shave his face but they did. Like they say, it'll grow back. 😐 Still love this cute pup.   

Olivia had her end of season team dinner and awards. She had a great season. She really enjoyed her coaches, and even more enjoyed wrestling with her best friend.   

We celebrated Olivia's 17th birthday with a waffle bar brunch with her friends since there wasn't school on Monday due to President's day.  We had the works! Strawberries (fresh and sugar sweetened in juice), raspberries, blueberries, peanut butter, Nutella, syrup, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and coconut flakes.  Sooo good! She had a great time with her friends.  For dinner we had her favorite dinner dish, chicken broccoli braid. I love Olivia so much. She's got whit, spunk, humor, looks, smarts, and a love for all things soft and cuddly. She's so fun to talk with. Hard to believe she will be turning 18 next year and graduating. It'll be quiet around here when she's gone to college that's for sure.  Happy birthday Liv Luv!  

We all went out to watch a movie this evening. When we got home there was someone in our house! Lindsey surprised us and got a ride home with a friend.  I'd say it was the best surprise we could have asked for! The kids picked up as best buds immediately.   

Happy Valentine's Day! Jaime had these beautiful flowers sent to me. I still love calla lilies just as much as I did when I had them in my wedding bouquet.  We generally don't go out for dinner on Valentine's Day and choose to stay home and do something fun with the kids. But the year we had reservations for dinner at Bud's Broiler. We ordered the meal for two. This steak was huge! I was looking forward to dinner out with this cute guy. We made our reservations for 4:30 so we could get in before the huge rush. It was such a smart thing to do because by the time our main course got to us it was 5:30.  It was oh, so delicious.  And dessert! Their truffles are so good. Literally like silk as they melt in your mouth.  It was a nice evening.  Pictures from this photo shoot in Florida are some of my favorites of the two of us together.  This was in 2021. It was such a fun trip and I am just as happy sitting in his lap today as I was then.  The day after Valentine's Day we

I was laying on the floor playing with Koda and listening to a book. After a bit we settled down and he just laid down and napped beside for a while. 💓  

Bel and Chris came up to see Olivia wrestle. It's always fun to have more cheerleaders in the stands.  Olivia and her "twin" Makayla are still just as cute and inseparable. She put up a good fight. The girl wrestled kinda dirty... As seen here. 😖  

Koda has been getting used to the car bit by bit. It's still a bit nerve wracking for him but he enjoys being by me on the ride.  He new feels comfortable in his kennel. He's not as eager to get out and goes to bed better and better each night. When we tell him it's nigh night time he heads to the kennel most nights.  Every morning Olivia comes down in the morning and sits on the floor so Koda can crawl into her lap. He will sit there every morning for a few minutes.  She loves it.  It gives her a bit of cuddle time with Koda before she has to leave for school.  Even Aidan can sometimes get some morning cuddles with Koda.  Bath time! He looks so tiny! It's his fluffy water feet look so funny? 😂 And then just a few days before church Koda jumped into the fire-pit in the backyard! Look at all that soot. We were scrambling to get him clean and dried as much as we could before heading off to church.  In the evenings Koda winds down around 9:30 and lays around the house. It
