Aidan's birthday

Image
Where has the time gone. Aidan has grown up so much. He's such a good kid. It's hard to believe he was such a mischievous little toddler. Now he's a sweet, caring, cuddle bug. I never get tired of him coming up and giving me hugs and kisses. He and Tyler are working at being gentlemen. They like to hold doors open for me and their sisters. I love to watch Aidan play or do anything for that matter. Look at that face!! Sweetness.  On Saturday August 30th we had Jaime's family over for a little celebration with DQ ice cream cake.  I love i t when they play so well together.  Wednesday September 3rd Aidan turns 6. He asked for oatmeal and toast for his birthday breakfast. He was excited to open a card that came in the mail from Brother and Sister Flory. That's where he got the origami dinosaurs. I'm not sure they know how much Aidan likes dinosaurs but the card was perfect for him.  Cupcakes with Tyler and Ren. Bowser from Super Mario is

Tyler's Turn

I did a preschool co-op last year. This year it would be all girls. Tyler said he wanted to do a preschool with boys and girls. I decided that I didn't have a reason not to spend time teaching Tyler when he's the only one at home. Later I found out that there was another co-op with boys and girls but Tyler and I had already agreed to do one with the two of us.  "This is great!" He looks happy doesn't he? He really likes the art activities. I need to make sure I get some good ones. We were out one afternoon and saw Bumble Bee "sleeping" as Tyler put it. He asked me if we could get a picture.  The autobot logo is on the side of the car and all the wheels. Tyler thought it was awesome. When he stood in front of the car he said, "Isn't this wonderful!" He uses good describing words.

3 in School

First Day of School 2014 Aidan started the Two-way Dual Language program. After day two he said he doesn't know what his teacher is saying. After day three he said school was great! He's getting good at numbers and colors.  Waiting to load the bus. Aidan was excited to ride the bus. He'd ridden in one before. When he got off the bus after school he said the bus goes fast, "like 100 fast!" My sweet Liv-luv is in third grade!!! Lindsey is just too grown up.  I love that they have friends to ride bikes to school with.  They attend the brand-spanking new school Rosalind Franklin STEM Elementary, the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) school. It's the first in the area. The kids rave about their science experiments they do. There's so much hands on work the kids stay engaged. I think it'll be a good change.  I love this picture of Lindsey. She said she wasn't ready for sum

End of Summer Days

We spent a week at my mom's. It was full of games, swimming, relaxing, and visiting, and good food with my parents, grandparents, and cousin Jessica and her daughter Jazz.  Tyler playing Sorry with Great grandma.  These girls have so much fun together. They just disappear and play all day! I like being able to swim or lay out in the sun and not have to be right next to my boys in the pool now. They can touch and have picked up swimming really well. Even Aidan likes going under water now. All four of my kids are little fish. It's great! One day we had to get everyone out of the pool quick as we saw this windy dust storm coming! Talk about a mess. It was the fastest we'd ever been able to get the kids out of the pool though! Aidan and Tyler helped clean up tree branches after the storm.  They liked working with Grandpa.  Cousin fun in the pool. They'd stay in the pool all day and night if they could.  My boys and

Another year at Fort Steven's in the books during the first week of August. Great weather, great fun. Priceless Tillamook Cheese Factory 2nd Cousins Olivia overcame her fear of Storm.  Tyler and Mia Olivia, Lindsey, Jeremiah Olivia, Josiah (Jeremiah's twin) and Lindsey These kids went on some long bike rides! Relaxing at the camp site. Jaime and I didn't go to the coast at all this year. The kids had a blast with out us. I enjoyed my time spent with Jaime. When he was at work I got big things done on my to-do list done - uninterrupted! That's the best part. ;)
