3 in School

First Day of School 2014

Aidan started the Two-way Dual Language program. After day two he said he doesn't know what his teacher is saying. After day three he said school was great! He's getting good at numbers and colors.

Waiting to load the bus. Aidan was excited to ride the bus. He'd ridden in one before. When he got off the bus after school he said the bus goes fast, "like 100 fast!"

My sweet Liv-luv is in third grade!!!

Lindsey is just too grown up.

I love that they have friends to ride bikes to school with.

They attend the brand-spanking new school Rosalind Franklin STEM Elementary, the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) school. It's the first in the area. The kids rave about their science experiments they do. There's so much hands on work the kids stay engaged. I think it'll be a good change.

I love this picture of Lindsey. She said she wasn't ready for summer to end but she's more excited for school than she pretends to lead on. She's really excited for the school's new library and new books.

I meet Aidan at the girls' school where the bus drops him off then we walk home together.

After the first day of school we had a weenie roast and s'mores dinner. Lindsey and Olivia planned it to pass of a goal in their Faith in God books. It was a good way to end the first day of school.

Oh look at that gooey goodness.

Happy back to school day!!
