Naylor Reunion 2022

I was in charge of then family  reunion this year. I came up the activities and menu. It turned out great. Everyone was there! All six of us siblings and their families and my parents.

With a family of over 30 people, finding a place that would house us all was a must. This how was perfect for our gatherings and necessary sleeping arrangements. We had space to play bingo and other games and the house had an outside and indoor pool. All the adults had bedrooms and then there was a boys bunk room and a girls bunk room. It was perfect to fit us all and with a large kitchen to boot!

kitchen used to the max.

I loved that we were all together under one roof!!

Family Home Evening

Night swimming

Newborn snuggles with cousin Merrill.

I made a Cousin Kahoot! game for the cousins to play.

We visited the Jacob Hamblin home, Brigham Young's Winter home, and the St. George Tabernacle. The tabernacle was one of our favorite spiritual moments this week.

Brigham Young's Winter Home

Cooling off with some shaved ice.

Naylor Jeopardy. Mom and Dad were the participants and the rest of us watched and laughed at the questions and answers.

We spent a day hiking at Zion National Park hiking the Narrows.

Our wonderful crew!

Potty break 😂

This picture says it all. Hiking through water all day tuckered my kids out. They slept on the way back to the house.

Playing games

And silly games.

Girls bunk room. Look at these sleepy heads.

A few of us went to tour the tabernacle while those with little kids went to a park to play.

I'm so glad we went to the tabernacle. It was really beautiful. I love seeing work the early saints did. These wooden chairs are amazing.

This spiral staircase is awesome. The stairs are kind of steep because the railing is made of one piece of wood!

We had quite the spiritual moment with our Elder Murie, our guide. We really felt the spirit as he expressed his feelings that the new Zion will be built up in this dispensation and some of the youth in this room will be part of it.

After the tabernacle we went to Judd's store.

Lots of soda flavors. It was fun to see and try different ones.

We enjoyed seeing the St. George temple and visitor center.

It's currently under renovation but it was still so beautiful to see.

We drove a few minutes to go see the construction of the new Red Cliffs temple. I was told it's not going to be white! The stone will stay its natural color from where it came from in the area.

Finding ways to stay cool in 110 degrees.

Tyler and Ezra enjoying their blue ice cream.

Face masks was a fun activity.

The little kids loved it.

The kids liked "painting" the masks on.

Such good sports.

Our last night of the reunion we hiked the slot canyons.

It really was a tight squeeze. We had to walk sideways to get through most of it.

At the top!

Darin and I had a lot of fun on this trip. We like some of the same outdoor things so me planning some of these activities were up his alley.

Brian and Jaime. I feel so grateful for the friendship they have. Truly like brothers and not brothers-in-law.

After the slot canyon we went back to the house and packed up then went to bed. Everyone headed out the next morning. I think everyone had a great time. I love being with family.
Our trip wasn't over yet. We had a drive to Arizona to go spend a few days with the Morales side.
