Two Weeks of Spring Break!

Jaime had a work conference in Arizona just minutes away from where his parents live just a week before Spring Break. So we decided to drive down for the conference and stay through Spring Break giving us a two week break and plenty of time to make the long drive.
We left Friday March 24
Not having a couch in the hotel rooms proved difficult for Koda. He wanted to be up so bad. We gave in and let him sit on the bed but he didn't get to sleep there. He slept in his kennel. We stayed one night in Twin Falls before heading to Las Vegas on the 25th.

Koda traveled way better than I could have expected. We took his travel carrier for more of a car seat to keep in safe from sliding around in the car. He would lay down and sleep in it...

or sit up and look around.

Everyone traveled so well. We made such good time.

It was a long drive but we made such good time and hardly stopped that it didn't seem like too arduous of a drive.

When we got to Brian's everyone was excited to see each other and really excited to see how Bear and Koda interacted since they hadn't seen each other since December.

Maybrie working on training for treats.

Koda looks so small next to Bear. I wonder if he will get as big or bigger than Bear. Brian thinks he will. It's fun to see their differences and similarities. Koda is just so much curlier. So cute!

Eating together.
It was just a short over night stop in Vegas because we had to get to Pheonix for Jaime's conference that started Monday.

On Monday Jaime went to work while the rest of us wen to watch the Mariner's play a preseason game.

I loved the warmth and sunshine!

In the evening we went hot tubbing and some even got in the pool. It was a bit too cold for me to swim.

A little bit of mini golf going on.

I loved spending time laying outside. Koda did as well.

Diana spoiled me and brought me a maple bar while I was sitting outside! Yum.

March 30
Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple

We met up with Darin and Christy at the Mesa Temple grounds so we could see the Easter pageant. Darin brought pizza for dinner so we could save seats early enough. We got good seats as you can see from the picture that there aren't too many people there when we first arrived. We ate and visited.

We went to see the visitor's center.

The coloring wall was pretty. Makaela, Olivia, Lisa, Elise.

After the visitors center we went to the creamery for some ice cream.

Then we walked around the temple.

Some folks were nice to get a picture of all of us from the front. Bright and sunny! (Christy and Elise were hanging out at our seats to keep them saved for when we got back.

The pageant was so good!

I enjoyed the music, dancing, and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Incredible. I'd see it again!

March 31

Breakfast at First Watch. Such a cute restaurant and busy! You can tell the food is good just by how busy it is and seeing people waiting outside to get in, but I can tell you from experience that the food was delicious!

Wouldn't be a trip to Arizona to visit the Moraleses if  we didn't get in some fun at Top Golf!

Such a fun afternoon being together.

April 1
Marty wanted to take to a hike that he'd been on before. I was more than happy to go and get the exercise. I invited Darin to come along too so I could get some more time in seeing my brother.

They've had an unusually wet spring so there was more green than most have ever seen it. The little flowers just added to it.

Darin with Fig, then Marty and Jaime.

Darin and Fig. What a view!

We made it to the top! Pretty cool look out area.

Look at the greenery! Blue skies! Wow so pretty.

Loved having Jaime come.

For dinner, Marcus wanted to take us to this fun farm style restaurant.

Rustler's Rooste. It was a neat restaurant and venue that you can even rent for dinner parties and such. There's even an indoor slide that the little kids love sliding down rather than taking all the stairs.

The food was served in very generous portions but oh so good.

Marcus, Aide, Jaime, and I shared this tray of food! Look how much is on there!! Brisket, ribs, sausages, Joe Joes, chicken, corn, cantaloupe. And then a large family style bowl of salad.

Happy eaters!

We love going out to restaurants together, no doubt about it.

Aidan loving those joe joes.

At the end of the meal they brought out two buckets of cotton candy. What a sweet way to end the meal!

Rooftop view. It was a great evening out for us.

April 2
General Conference at Darin's in Mesa

I really enjoyed going to Darin and Christy's on Sunday so that we could watch general conference and a yummy healthy meal and snacks of a veggie tray and charcuterie board. It is nice to be able to go see all our brothers on this trip. Brian, Darin and Marcus. Jaime called it "The Brothers Trip" haha.

We spent a few more days with Jaime's parents. The kids worked on homework that they missed from missing the week of school before spring break. When they didn't do homework we were swimming, enjoying being outside, watching tv/movies, and playing games.

I was coming down the stairs and saw the boys working on homework and Koda taking a nap. :)

After leaving Pheonix we headed back to Las Vegas to spend a couple days with Brian and Summer's family.
The kids were all eager to go watch the new Mario movie in the theater since it was released while we were there. It was cute and well done. Such a fun time.

Being gone for two weeks went by so fast. I'm glad it worked out to take the kids out of school for a week so we could make the drive and visit our brothers and do so much with them. The drive back went just as good as the way there. Koda loved traveling and being with everyone non stop in the car. We only made one stop before stopping for the night in Boise. Then on April 7th we made the drive the next day all the way home.
