A Morales Minute

The boys flew by themselves to Arizona to stay a week with Grandma and Grandpa Morales! They were so excited to go. They weren't at all nervous to travel by themselves. I was nervous, let me tell you. Haha. Grandma was great to let me know as soon as they got them at the airport. Gordo was so happy to see his cousins! And it just gets better! Olivia flew in later that day to stay for the weekend! A flight from Vegas to Phoenix is pretty cheap. Since the boys were going we bought a ticket for Olivia to go and see them. She's doing well at Brian's but she has missed her brothers. She was soooo excited to go visit her grandparents and brothers and Liandrew.  They went to a Diamondbacks game.  Enjoyed lots of swimming. Day and Night! They played glow in the dark golf. Grandpa likes to buy fun things for the kids to do when they're there. Whether it's a new pool float or a fun golfing set, he seems to find something! They had a yummy brunch at First Watch. Happy Father's Day Jaime! We sure miss Olivia today. Isaac headed back to Rexburg this morning. Our family is growing but we have fewer of us home most often it seems. Good thing we have Koda. 😄  

Isaac came to visit for a few days. While he was here we had their engagement photos done.  I'm excited for them. It's just still hard to believe she's now at this point in her life! I always have fun watching Lyndee do her work when taking photos of our family. She's great at what she does.  After the engagement photos it was time to get a few bridals done. Lyndee forgot the pop up tent so Lindsey had to dress in the back of the car. It was funny as we both moved around to help her in her wedding dress in the small space of the car.  Stunning! I loved seeing them together like this. I can hardly wait to get the photos from Lyndee. These are just snaps I took with my phone.  She's such a beauty! Isaac is so sweet to always tell her how beautiful she is. He's so good to her. It warms my heart knowing she has someone so special to take care of her and love on her.   

  Graduation is done, Olivia has moved away to work, Lindsey is engaged, and now the boys are done with school. Aidan's first year in high school and Tyler's last year in middle school. How can my children all be this old!?  Aidan enjoyed high school. Didn't seem intimidated by it. I think he liked seeing Olivia occasionally at school. She was always good to him when she saw him. Sometimes, depending on the trimester, she and her friends went and sat a the same table as him. I do kinda wish I could have seen that.  Tyler aced middled school and has the goal to do the same in high school. He's looking forward to football and all things high school. Especially marketing and anything involving being an entrepreneur. This boy is too smart for me that's for sure.  I love my boys. Their future remains unseen but I have a feeling that they will be surprising me often.  Now let's get to sleeping in on mornings, some lazy days, swimming, and other summer fun and vacation...

Today was Tyler's 8th grade promotion assembly.  8th grade graduation? He's done with middle school. Finished with his goal of 4.0gpa. He's such a great student. Teachers love him, classmates love him.  He also passed the STAMP assessment towards his seal of biliteracy! Both he and Aidan have passed these tests with ease. My boys are so smart. :) I love his smile! Tyler thrives off of being with friends. He's such a social butterfly.  Congratulations Tyler! I know you're going to do great in high school.   

We went to Aidan's last piano recital. I had hoped that Aidan would really connect and love playing the piano but unfortunately that didn't happen. When it got to where he'd only practice if I reminded him and even then he literally played for 5 minutes I just felt like it wasn't worth the costly payment each month. So while Aidan did enjoy it for a time, I'm glad he at least got some learning on how to read music. He catches on so fast and totally impressed the teacher, he just didn't love it.
