A Week with Grandma and Grandpa

The boys flew by themselves to Arizona to stay a week with Grandma and Grandpa Morales! They were so excited to go. They weren't at all nervous to travel by themselves. I was nervous, let me tell you. Haha.

Grandma was great to let me know as soon as they got them at the airport.

Gordo was so happy to see his cousins! And it just gets better!

Olivia flew in later that day to stay for the weekend! A flight from Vegas to Phoenix is pretty cheap. Since the boys were going we bought a ticket for Olivia to go and see them. She's doing well at Brian's but she has missed her brothers. She was soooo excited to go visit her grandparents and brothers and Liandrew. 

They went to a Diamondbacks game. 


Enjoyed lots of swimming. Day and

Night!

They played glow in the dark golf. Grandpa likes to buy fun things for the kids to do when they're there. Whether it's a new pool float or a fun golfing set, he seems to find something!

They had a yummy brunch at First Watch. They always get to go to some of their favorite food places whenever they're with grandma and grandpa. 

And of course a few rounds and yummy snacks at Top Golf!

It was a much needed reprieve for Olivia. She's discovered how much she loves and misses her family when she's not around them. She's grateful that she's living with Brian and his family but it's not quite the same. I feel so blessed that she feels a connection with me. My relationship with my daughters is truly a friendship. They've never been very hard children. And now we're at the part in our lives where we're friends but they also admit that they need their mom and will hug me and tell me they love and miss me. Clearly I'm homesick for my Liv. I do miss her so much. I can hardly wait to see her just 4 days! She's flying home for the 4th of July and staying until after the family reunion. :)

My kids are wonderful. They are growing up into wonderful children. I love them so much. We've been very busy with this and that recently. This will be a long recap of some of what's been going on. :) The Primary Program was Sunday Sept 22. (I forgot to get a picture of them on that day but I did get pics of them the previous Sunday.) All four of them memorized their parts and stood at the microphone to say them without any hesitation at all. They were cute to watch singing the songs. Aidan was funny to watch with his gestures and making a heart with his hands through some of the songs. My parents and grandparents were able to come and watch. Tolo

The end of January Olivia asked her friend Jonas to Tolo. He had an arm in a sling for the same injury as Olivia. However his was worse and needed surgery. I thought her way of asking was clever and cute.  The night before Tolo the girls got together for a Galentine's night of food, pampering and prepping for the dance with facials, and watching a movie.  They had quite the spread! Time for facials! I love this picture of Brynnlee, Olivia, and Makeda busting up laughing. Knowing your kids have good friends is a wonderful thing.  They watched Pride and Prejudice.  Ready for Tolo! Cute cute! THREE Years?!?!?!

On Wednesday September 3rd, 2008 I was at my Mom's house. I started having small contractions that kept getting more frequent. When I would be talking to my mom and have to stop just to breathe we decided that I was in labor and would probably be going to the hospital that night rather than the next morning for my scheduled induction. We had dinner there and after dinner I told Jaime to go ahead and go to mutual as he was in the Young Men's presidency. I wasn't in enough pain and didn't want to go to the hospital too early. Lindsey and Olivia would stay the night since they were going to anyway so Jaime and I could just get up Thursday morning and head to the hospital to be induced into labor. We got the girls in to bed and I said good bye.
