Merry Christmas!

Finding what's beside the stocking as well as what's beside it is always so exciting for the kids. I didn't realize how much Lindsey loved what they always get in their stockings. She was telling Isaac all about the things they get in their stockings. He was surprised how much there was. So because of Lindsey sharing this with me I could see how much all my kids enjoy and look forward to this tradition of Christmas. It's not just about what's under the tree. They get a stocking full of treats, fruits, and sometimes little gifts as well as their "Santa" gift beside the stocking. No unwrapping needed!

Mom and Dad enjoyed unwrapping gifts. Jaime's always so good to pass out gifts and make sure he spreads how who gets to open something next.

They were so cute! The haul of gifts just kept coming.

Olivia LOVES shoes! Her list of shoes is so long but everyone can only get her so many shoes. haha

Every year Aidan gets harder and harder to buy for. He's so simple at what he wants. His only real interest is video games and I don't want that to be the only thing he gets every year. He got a gaming chair that he was excited about as well as a few Shashibo cubes. He does like these critical thinking puzzles and games. So I try to hunt those kinds of things down for him.

While Olivia was living in Las Vegas, my parents had gone down for a visit and went shopping with Olivia. While they were shopping she saw this cute Willow Tree figuring and said it reminded her of the picture of me holding Koda the day we got him. When she was telling this to my Mom, Mom said that she would go in with Olivia and they could buy it together for me. How thoughtful! I love that Olivia thought of me when she saw it.

After gifts Jaime and right to work making omelettes! They're so good. He does an amazing job. He learned from his dad well. Dad said he eats so well when he comes to our house. I like to help Mom and Dad feel like they're away on vacation when they come to our house. 😊
We spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying gifts, snacking on stocking treats and being together.

I loved having Mom and Dad here for Christmas. It did help to have them here to do other things with since I was missing Lindsey and Isaac. I love the holiday season. Seeing Christ in everything around. I know Lindsey feels the same way. She was missing some of our festivities but when it came down to thinking about the reason, she was able to feel the Spirit and enjoy her time with Isaac. I love how he cared for her to help her when she was missing home.

I'm so grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ. I love that the world opens up to and shares Christlike love.
Merry Christmas
