Heading Home

After we left Emily's we made a few stops on the way home.  Jaime has never been to my Aunt Mel's house. Every time I've gone to visit her Jaime's had to work and couldn't come. We finally made it to Roseburg together! However, Aunt Mel and Uncle Tim aren't there because they're serving a mission in Florida. So we stopped by her house anyway and sent her this pic saying Jaime's here now, where was she?! We will have to go another time when Mel and Tim are back.  We stayed at my cousin Jared's house in Roseburg instead. Jared and Michelle were so welcoming. Their four kids and our four kids have so much fun together and are all similar in age. It's been a couple years since we've seen them so it was good to have the time to catch up.  The rope swings are awesome They could do this all day! If they weren't on the swings they were up in the treehouse. Rylee, Olivia, Tyson Lindsey, Tyson, Tyler, Aidan - swinging a...

A quick stop for some ice cream and then we headed to the Red Woods. There were many giant trees that were hollow so we climbed in to take a look. It's quite the playground for the kids. The kids liked to  Skip  Throw rocks in the ocean. I love having Jaime home for a month in the summer. Wish it could be longer but we need the work right? I Love my best friend. There were a lot of star fish and anemones in the tide pools Tyler wanted to touch everything. He was so intrigued by it all.  My wonderful sister Emily and I  Typical west coast mist over the beach. Its beautiful, but I appreciate it more if it's warmer. I don't enjoy the cold wind and humidity but this week that we were there wasn't too bad...

California here we come!

Image
We went to Crescent City, California - also known as Southern Oregon. :) Emily and her family moved there a few months ago and invited us to come this summer. We went the first week of July. Crescent City is very much like Seaside. Windy, chilly beaches, overcast and when it's sunny you soak in as much vitamin D as possible! The kids had a great time playing outside in the yard, playing games, toys, and exploring on the beach and in the Red Woods. Trip Toys! Jaime set the Wii up in the car so the kids could play games, watch movies, or both at the same time! And I thought I had it good with our tiny TV and VCR to watch video tapes in the our van when I was a kid.  Tyler and Wescott Lindsey and Jacob playing a grueling game of Battleship one night.  Our first morning there we went to the beach and visited the light house.  Emma and Olivia picture perfect! After the lighthouse escapade we went to the aquarium. ...
