Naylor Reunion 2018 July 23rd and 24th

Our Keven Naylor Family Reunion was held in Crescent City, CA since Emily was in charge of putting it together. Mom, Dad, Elizabeth and her family, Brian and his family and us stayed at a hotel. Lori and Darin weren't able to make it but were sure missed. Emily had quite the agenda planned. We had lots of outdoor hikes and activities to do.

Our first evening there we had dinner at the fire house. Jeremiah has access to this because he is a volunteer firefighter. The large room for meals was great to accommodate everyone. After dinner Jeremiah gave us a tour through the station and showed the fire trucks.

This antique fire truck is super cool.

The kids loved sitting in the driver seat and seeing the lights on.

The next morning we took a hike through Fern Canyon. It was beautiful. I loved the walls of ferns and trickling water down the canyon walls. There was a small stream that ran through it.

Mom and Lindsey

So pretty! The water, the greenery, the rocks, and makeshift bridges.

I do have a lot of fun with Brian and Summer :)

          Olivia and Henry

Nothing like being able to explore with cousins.

Trying to get a picture with everyone looking at the camera and smiling was no easy task and it never happened. haha

We stopped at Big Tree

This gigantic tree is larger around than we could wrap ourselves around holding hands.

After exploring Fern Canyon we had a picnic lunch then loaded back in the cars and headed to the Trees of Mystery.
We were greeted by Paul Bunyan and Blue the oxen. The kids liked asking Paul questions and he would answer. Someone had a view from up in the building and talked through a speaker system pretending to be Paul. We got a kick out of his comments.

I had to laugh when I saw mom changing Jocelyn's diaper. Just played her on her lap and got to work. That's definitely a seasoned mother.

Walking through the Trees of Mystery we saw many giant and extraordinary trees. This "Cathedral" tree is pretty famous for people having weddings in front of it. It really is pretty. I felt it was fitting that we got family pictures in front of is.

We were able to see the age of this tree what it had lived through. There were also many animals and statues carved out of trees.

We took a ride up the mountain in the sky bridge.

Jaime does not like heights. This picture is for fun but his heart really was pumping with anxiety as we lifted higher and higher in this windowed box.

The view was pretty. But it could have been better. There were still so many trees around that obstructed the large expanse to see.

On our way down, Henry was being quite the character making us laugh all the way down.

I love you Jaime!
