Sounds of Summer

It's official, the 2019-2020 school year has ended. Not gracefully but everyone is happy to be done with zoom school. There were many things the kids missed out on...field trips, sports, dances, school events, etc due to the last three months of school being done at home with virtual lessons. I've got to hand it to them, they never complained and finished the year out like champs. Lindsey made the year memorable by getting her license, getting into CBC running start, and maintaining her 4.0 GPA. Olivia totally opened up this year and became quite the social butterfly and rocked out her GPA of 3.8. She will be in high school this fall. Aidan and Tyler were bummed to finish the year via online and video but they amazed me at how they would log on each morning and get right to work. They both received notice of being in highly capable classes now. They're getting too smart for me. Aidan said it's weird knowing he will never go to his school again since he will be attending middle school next year. Oh heaven help me my babies are growing up too fast. Here's to summer Break! It felt long in coming for these kids. We're ready to enjoy summer as best we can during this Covid time.

To celebrate the last day of school Mom and Dad invited us over for an evening of swim and then dinner and a movie night - theater style.

The kids handed in their movie passes bought concessions of pizza, nachos, or hot dogs for dinner and then snacks while watching the movie Artemis Fowl.

Then we spent the last two evenings on the river with friends. We went boating last night with Christensen's and then kayaking and paddle boarding tonigh with Nelsons and Ritchies. I'm so ready for more warm weather and fun times like this!
