Spring Break - Woohoo!

Happy Easter!

We spent Spring Break in Seaside with my parents and it happened to be the same week of Easter. It makes me remember back when we went to Utah for General Conference on Easter with my parents when our kids were a lot younger.

We went to church then came back to our hotel right on the beach. We were blessed with such beautiful weather!

Love my parents.

Work has been crazy so Jaime was more than ready to get away for a week.

Awww, the way that he loves me. 😍

Lindsey spent Easter with Isaac in Meridian.

They sent us their Easter pictures. 😊 How cute!

Tyler and Olivia enjoying the sun and playing games out on the balcony.

We've been to the Peter Iredale shipwreck many times. It was fun to take mom and dad to walk along the beach and see it.

It seems like there's more of the ship visible now. Some years there's not much of it at all but a lot of sand has been pulled out in to the ocean revealing more of the ship's skeleton.

Then we drove up to the jetty to look out along the ocean. Sadly it's getting some work done so we weren't able to go out very far on it. But the views are still very pretty.

Mom loved getting a bit of time with Olivia. Generally it's Lindsey that loves to walk around with my mom but with her being gone it made time for Olivia to get a bit more attention from my mom. Olivia isn't one to ask for it but I know that she enjoyed it.

We were excited to take Grandma and Grandpa to Fort Stevens to show them where we go every year with Jaime's family.

My kids were kids again!

Having a blast at Fort Stevens and the batteries. Climbing things and running around.

A gun replica at the battery that was built by an Oregon citizen and donated to the park. How cool is that!

These hooligans running and hiding. Sadly a lot of the fort has been locked up or roped off due to its crumbling nature. The state isn't doing anything to maintain and upkeep it so some of the places are beginning to crumble and even fall.

Mom and I enjoyed walks on the beach all week long.

One day we met up with Elizabeth and her kids at Tillamook Cheese Factory. She and the kids were spending spring break in Lincoln City. We went through he factory tour, had samples, then enjoyed some lunch and ice cream. It was Elizabeth's first time there so it was fun to see them experience it all for the first time. As many times as my kids have been there they still enjoy going and of course...getting something to eat. :)

I'm missing my Lindsey so much seeing her missing in this photo.

But look! Here's another favorite person to fill the bus with four for me. 😁

Wouldn't be a proper cheese loaf van pic without getting one with all the cousins!

After Tillamook we went to the beach for a while. The kids played in the sand while others visited or walked along the beach. I had a fun walk and talk with Elizabeth and Mom.

One day we were walking through town looking at the shops. We walked by the arcade that our kids have played in often when going to Seaside. The kids wanted to play some games. I told Jaime it'd be fun to have Mom and Dad play some games. So he got some game cards and off we went!

At first my parents said no just let the kids play. But then we got them on some games and they had a good time. It was  so fun to watch them laugh and have fun.

I know the kids enjoyed seeing this side of grandma and grandpa too. Olivia had fun racing in Mario Kart with Grandma.

By the expressions on her face I know that my Mom had fun too. :)

Dad enjoyed playing the games too. Something he hasn't done in a long time.

Classic Pinball!

Going to Seaside with mom and dad was so fun. We enjoyed the relaxed week of walking on the beach, showing them places at Fort Stevens that we've grown accustomed to seeing each year and experiencing it with them. We had good food either from what we planned for our menu that week or the places we went out to enjoy. Thank you Mom and Dad for such a fun week.
