For Strength of Youth Camp

Olivia, Aidan, and Tyler went to FSY for a week in Moscow at University of Idaho.  Brynlee, Lane, and Olivia all wore their Chiawana wrestling shirts on the same day. Way to show team spirit guys! All three of the kids said they had great groups they were a part of. I only got pictures of Olivia's group but the boys couldn't stop talking about the fun they had as well.  The campus had Chic-fil-A so the kids were all excited to go eat there.  All three weren't excited to go to FSY but when Jaime and I went to pick them up the night before camp was over, not one of them was ready to leave. They were having such a great time. We were leaving the next morning for the Oregon coast so we picked the kids up early. All the way home they talked about FSY and the fun they had and the classes they took. I asked them "Would you say your testimony has grown this week?" Without hesitation, all three of them said, "Yes!" The camp was worth it. 😊

Summer Fun With Family

Image
We went to Grandview to swim and have a birthday dinner for Darin on the 7th.  It was cute seeing the cousins playing and have fun together. The next day we spent some time on the river paddle boarding with Bel.  The kids can stay out on the water all day when it's nice and hot. Aidan Jaime got some paddling in.  Lisa and Bel. On the 12th Summer and I took the kids to get some ice cream at the Country Mercantile.  Antique Coke machine.  Summer and the kids stayed at our house a few days after Brian had to fly home for work. The kids have had a lot of fun being together and playing. Maybrie loves setting up a restaurant with Olivia's play food then having the rest of the kids come to order and eat there.  Then back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for more time swimming and hanging out with family in Grandview. The boys really enjoy a game Aidan has. It really intrigued Madelyn and Ryan as well.

Fun on the River

Ritchies invited us to go out with them on their new boat.  Tyler had a blast on the tube with the boys. I took a try at kneeboarding. Came pretty easy and was fun. Tyler tried it too. He had fun. Was able to get to swerve back and forth and even bounce himself up and down on the waves.  Then it was time to pull out the surf boards. Jaime didn't get a picture of it but I was able to throw the rope back into the boat and stay up surfing on the wake! Love having time to laugh and hang out with friends.  And when I say laugh, when we're with the Ritchies we do laugh.  And Brandon is good at producing laughs! 😂

Happy Birthday America!

This is the first time I've ever been to the Pasco 4th of July Parade. It only took having one of my kids being it. I just never wanted to deal with finding parking space and a place to sit and watch.  All the Pasco Youth Bulldog athletes.  Tyler was excited to be with his friends and teammates walking along side them, carrying the bulldog banner, and even getting a turn riding on the truck.  He was so happy. I loved seeing him smile and laugh along with friends.  After the parade we headed to Grandview for a BBQ and swim. After that we headed back home and Darin and his family came to stay a couple nights here so they could watch fireworks with us.  The kids had popcorn and watched a movie till it got dark enough for the fireworks to start.  Like we always do, watch from our rooftop to see fireworks shooting off all around us. Darin thought it was the coolest thing.  I love not having to deal with the traffic and crowds and still being able to see the...

The Boys are Growing Up!

Aidan is going to be starting driver's ed. Time to get in out on the road! May as well get Tyler behind the wheel to get a taste of what he will be doing next year! I couldn't help but take a picture of this. Aidan always picks Koda up to sit and cuddle with him. Koda rarely fights it. They snuggled together for a while that Koda took a cat  pup nap.

A Week Away

This last week I got to spend time with Jaime in San Diego. Jaime's college Scott Raab and his wife Chandra went as well. Chandra and I went for vacation while the guys went to work.  We made sure to get a meal at Miguel's right on the water. Great view, great food.  Miguel's makes the best corn tortillas I've ever had.  While the guys were at the conference us girls spent time sitting and relaxing and reading by the pool, soaking up the warm rays, going on walks, shopping and visiting.  On our first afternoon together, Chandra and I went on the trolley hop on hop off tour of San Diego.  We loved learning facts and history about San Diego.  We spent quite a bit of time on Coronado Island. Fun fact, someone with a bulldozer made sand dunes on the beach to spell Coronado Beach that can be seen from the sky. I wouldn't have noticed the dunes spelled anything just by walking by.  The Coronado Hotel. This antique hotel is so pretty and I love how they've ke...
