Hangin' Out

After our family reunion we had the blessing of having Brian and his family come stay with us for a couple days. It's always fun to hang out and visit with my family.

While visiting, Brian wanted to browse Costco (who doesn't like to?!) 
So I could visit with Brian and Summer could visit with her sister Jessica, we loaded all the kids up in my van and Jessica's van. Brian rode with me and Summer with Jessica. And we were off!
Since no one was there for anything in particular we looked at things and visited at the same time. 
The kids had a lot of fun as well. Tyler and Ren have become pretty good friends.

After dinner we hit the river.

We went wakeboarding for a while...till the boat stopped.

The kids jumped off the boat for a cool swim while Justin, Jaime, and Brian worked to get the boat going.

They never did get the boat working so we called our neighbor Spencer to come to the rescue with his boat. We were able to get the boats out of the water just as it got dark. 
The kids were cold and tired but they had a fun story to tell! They'd do it again too. :) 


We all got together again to celebrate Thomas' 2nd birthday.

He's so cute. Happy Birthday Thomas! I'm so grateful for Brian and Summer being able to visit. 
We miss them.

For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
