Go BYU!!

Image
It's GAME DAY! All matchy matchy for the BYU football game! Everyone looks so great! It was awesome seeing the sea of blue cougar fans and then a few specks of red for Arizona fans. BYU definitely had the home field advantage even if it was in a different state.  It was kinda cool to go to the Raider's home field at allegiant stadium to watch the cougars play.  Hanging out with my buddy Henry! Being at any game in person rather than watching on tv always has a more exciting vibe. I love the hype and excitement. When both school bands performed the half time number and created the united states of America while marching around playing the crowd went wild with pride. I love that opposing teams can still unite...it's America. It's what we do.  Everyone enjoyed the game. BYU rocked it and took the W. It was so fun being able to be there with my girls and all of Brian's family, Dad, and Emily.

Morning Hike

Image
Dad, Emily, Brian and I got up early this morning to hike through Red Rock Canyon It really is a beautiful area Love that reddish orange.  I enjoyed climbing and jumping around on the rocks. At the end Dad and Emily walked around  a easier path and Brian ran back the tougher terrain. As I waited for the others to use the bathroom I ran around the area some to get a morning run and a bit more exercise in. I could have gone up more tough areas of the rock but I wanted to stay with the rest of the group. So a little run at the end helped me feel a bit more energized with the movement.  It was fun and totally worth the early rising.

Cougar Fan Fest in Las Vegas

Image
The girls and I are headed off to Las Vegas to spend Labor Day weekend with Brian's family and my dad. Jaime was so kind to buy us tickets to go so that we can go to the BYU football game played in Vegas. I'm not sure we will ever be able to fly without a face mask again. I feel like it will be the last covid restriction to be lifted...if they're ever lifted. Will we live like this the rest of our lives? We died laughing see a guy on the belt going through the carry on security check! haha I sent the picture to family saying it could be turned in to a meme. Something like "This is what happens when you try to sneak a friend in your bag onto the plane" hahaha I felt kinda sad seeing this on the napkins. We're allowed to eat on the plane but while chewing you need to place your mask back on.  When we landed in Vegas Brian picked us up and we went straight to Fan Fest and met up with the rest of the family, Dad, and Emily. It was a fun evening. Buying BYU shirts,...

New to the Teenager Years

Image
Officially a teenager! Well, tomorrow really. We just celebrated tonight because the girls and I are leaving town tomorrow and I wanted to have all of us home to celebrate Aidan.  Aidan is all about games and books these days...well and the days before. haha He's quiet as a mouse most of the day but ask him about "Wings of Fire" books, Dungeons and Dragons, or Minecraft and he opens right up. Even better, if you can get a glimpse of him dancing it'll put a smile on your face.  Happy 13th birthday Aidan!

The Rest are Off to School

Aidan's off to seventh grade. I'm hoping he has a great year since he's looking forward to some fun things. Especially Dungeons and Dragons Club. Olivia may be a sophomore but due to limited school last year she's kind of freshman-ing things again this year. She's sooo excited to be back at softball though! Today is Lindsey's last first day of school! Most of her classes are online through CBC running start so she only has a couple classes actually at the high school. One of them is seminary. haha She's most looking forward to a great season of softball!
